NBA Top Shot is the most popular NFT collection on flow blockchain that introduces a new era of digital basketball collectibles in the form of non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Method

In this dashboard, we analyzed the TOPSHOT NFT collection through the NBA final period (May 17th- May 29th).

Analyzed the TOPSHOT sales through the final period compared with before and after final by using ``flow.core.fact_nft_sales``.

Analysis of TOPSHOT sales of teams that qualified for the final was based on ``flow.core.fact_nft_sales`` combined with ``flow.core.dim_topshot_metadata``.

Result

The below chart shows the total sales of the TOPSHOT collection over the past 3 months. The highest volume of sales occurs before the final dates and after that volume decreases.

When we compare the USD volume sales somedays in the final period and after that have a noticeable volume. it shows that the price of NFTs goes higher in the final period.

The below chart shows the NFT sales based on each team in 3 periods. the finalist teams have the highest sales volumes over time.

Golden State Warriors as the champion of the NBA has the highest sales in the final and after final periods.

when we compared the USD volume it’s interesting that Los Angles Lakers in the final days have a considerable volume.

The below charts show the total volume sales of the finalist teams. the highest volume occurs before the final days and then respectively 22 May (final days) and 3,4 June(after the final) we see the highest volume sales.
