Q18. What tokens and blockchains are users interacting with when bridging to and from Flow?

An analysis could include what protocols users are leveraging after bridging TO Flow from another chain, as well as what chains contribute to the most bridge volume. Or you could do the reverse, where are users going from Flow to another chain going? What were they interacting with on Flow before bridging out?

    Methodology:

in this dashboard, I am going to:

    • Analyze what tokens are user interacting with, when bridging to/from Flow (by Number of Transactions, Number of Users and Volume of Transactions).
    • Analyze what blockchains are users interacting with, when bridging to/from Flow (by Number of Transactions, Number of Users and Volume of Transactions).
    • then, I am going to analyze the same above data on over-time charts.

for the volume part, I have joined 3 tables together to calculate USD volume for our analyze. (flow price table, ethereum fact hourly token price and flow dim labels table).

Based on the above charts, we can see BloctoToken is the most popular Token to interact with when bridging to Flow (Inbound Bridges), in terms of both number of users and transactions. the second one is TeleportedTetherToken.

In terms of briding From flow (outbound), we can also see Blocto Token and TeleportedTetherToken are the 2 most popular assets in both terms of number of users and transactions.

In terms of blockchains, we can see Ethereum is the most popular blockchain to Bridge to Flow (inbound) in both terms of number of users and transactions. in terms of number of users BSC is the 2nd popular blockchain and in terms of number of bridges, Solana is the 2nd popular one.

In terms of briding from Flow (outbound), we can also see Ethereum is the most popular blockchain and after that comes Solana and BSC on 2nd and 3rd ranks.

    Over Time Charts:

Based on the above charts, we can see most volume of bridges to Flow (inbound) has occured on May 2022 (during market price crash). as we see, BloctoToken and TeleportetTetherToken are the most popular tokens to bridge to Flow. but, in terms of volume, we can see TeleportedTetherToken on the first rank and BloctoToken has not very much volume for bridging.

In terms of bridgint from Flow (outbound), we can also see most high spikes on May and also April 2022. most number of bridges in terms of number of users and transactions belong to BloctoToken, but, in terms of volume, Flow Token and TeleportedTetherToken are the most popular ones.

In terms of blockchain, as we analysed on the first part of the dashboard, we can see Ethereum leading on almost all days as the most popular blockchain to bridge from to Flow (inbound). Solana and BSC are on the second and 3rd ranks. also, we can see highest number of bridges on May (during market price crash).

And at last in terms of outbound bridging from Flow, we can see Ethereum on the first ranks and most high spikes has occured on May 2022.

    Conclusion

in the above analyze, we have realized that most popular tokens to bridge on Flow are BloctoToken, TeleportedTetherToken and FlowToken.

most popular blockchains to bridge on Flow are Ethereum, Solana and Binance Smart Chain.

moreover, most number and volume of bridges has occurred during May (the same time as market heavy price crash).
