What is the total amount of ETH that has been staked with Lido? Show the daily amount of ETH staked with Lido in the past 3 months. Are there any trends you can see?
Lido is a community staking service for Ethereum. Users can deposit (stake) their ether and receive an equivalent amount of the stETH, the tokenized version of staked ether. stETH balance's will be updated daily to reflect the value of stETH accrued. stETH cannot be converted back to ETH but can be swapped or exchanged for other tokens on decentralized exchanges like Curve / Uniswap.
First of all, we are going to calculate total staked ETH on Lido since beginning:
Now, for second part of the question (Show the daily amount of ETH staked with Lido in the past 3 months), for a better undrestanding, I am going to chart amount of daily ETH staked, average daily ETH staked, number of stakes, number of unique stakers and cumulative amount of ETH staked over past 90 days:
As we see on the above chart, most amount of ETH has staked on March especially with a high spike on 15th March with about 191k staked ETH. Totally, a decreasing trend on ETH staked volume is visible over past 3 month especially after market price crash on 11th and 12th May.
In terms of average staked ETH, results are almost similar to first (above) chart (daily total staked ETH). Highest average of staked ETH over pas 3 month has achieved on 15th March (639 ETH).
In terms of number of stakes, results are different from volume. As we can see on the above chart, most number of eth stakes over past 3 months has achieved on 7th and 8th May with more than 2000 daily stake actions. totaly, there is a constant or very light decreasing trend for number of stake actions over past 3 months on chart above.
Similar to previous chart, we have most number of unique stakers on 7th and 8th May with more than 1900 users.
From the above 4 charts, we can conclude despite high volume of ETH stake on Lido on March, there is not high number of stake actions and stakers in the timespan.
And at last, on the chart be low, we can see cumulative amount of staked ETH over past 3 month which is obviously an increasing trend especially with a steep slope on the March.
