NFTs FloorPrice in the FLOW Ecosystem

Let’s sweep some floors. Build a dashboard that tracks the floor by contract for various NFT projects in the FLOW ecosystem. We’re interested to see how you come up with your own methodology. Include at least five projects in your dashboard, as well as any interesting metrics, notes, trends, or outliers that you see

    What is Flow Blockchain?

Flow is a fast, decentralized, and developer-friendly blockchain built by Dapper Labs to power some of the biggest brands’ NFTs and digital collectibles such as the NBA, UFC, CNN, Warner Music Group, Dr. Seuss, Ubisoft and more. Flow leverages an environmentally friendly design via Proof-of-Stake that consumes thousands of times less energy than Proof-of-Work blockchains like the current Ethereum network. The combination of eco-friendly design, scalability and the diversity of projects building on Flow is a key reason we chose to run Canes Vault on the Flow blockchain. What is NFT?

An NFT is a one-of-a-kind piece of digital content (such as an image or a video) that is an officially licensed collectible. The NFTs ownership is authenticated and verifiable by the blockchain, a technology used for things like bitcoins. That means while copies of videos, images and even animated gifts can multiply on the internet, there can be only one with a certificate of authenticity. Like other collectibles, you can buy, sell, and trade them.

    What Does Floor Price Mean?

The floor price of an NFT refers to the lowest-priced NFT within a collection and is one of the most widely used metrics collectors use to evaluate a project. The floor price of an NFT collection sets up by the users who own them. the more popular an NFT project gets, the higher the floor price. A sudden reduction in a project's floor price may suggest that an NFT project is losing traction.

“Sweeping the floor” refers to buying digital assets in bulk, specifically assets that are part of a collection. In the NFT space, sweeping the floor can be applied to both project owners and buyers. If project owners sweep the floor, they purchase all of their NFTs at the floor price. When buyers sweep the floor, it either means they bought all the available NFTs in the project or many of them. Both of these indicate a potential manipulation of the floor price.

    Methodology

In this dashboard, We are going to perform some analyzes of NFTs’ Floor Prices in the FLOW ecosystem. For this purpose, I have divided this dashboard into 3 part:

    1. Part One - Floor Price Overview in The FLOW Ecosystem: In this part, I have performed an overall analysis of NFTs floor prices in the FLOW ecosystem and also listed the top projects with most and also the least current floor price.
    2. Part Two - Custom NFT: In this part, you can enter your desirable NFT collection’s name on the provided “NFT_Collection” field above (the default project is TopShot) to see an overall overview of this NFT collection and also some stats about its floor price. If you don’t know your desirable NFT project’s name, the below table (Flow NFT Projects) shows you all NFT projects in the Flow ecosystem (ordered by their total sale volume). So, you can just copy/paste the name of your desirable NFT project in the above field. (you should log in to Flipside in order to be able to apply parameters)
    3. Part Three - Top 5 Flow NFT Projects: in this part, firstly, you will see the list of top 5 NFT projects in the Flow ecosystem by their total sale volume, then you will see an overall overview and also analysis of their floor price.

There is also a ==“Date_Trunc”== field provided for the over-time charts in order to set your desirable parameter (Daily, Weekly (Default), or Monthly).

    • The main table that we are going to use for this bounty is flow.core.ez_nft_sales (+flow.core.fact_prices for calculating the USD value of sales with FLOW token currency).
    • For a better appearance of the title of the projects, I have subtracted the 20 left characters from their contract name in order to just show the real project title (substr(nft_collection,20))
    • The floor price is extracted by calculating the minimum sale price of the NFT collection. This floor price is calculated for both current (today) and daily/weekly/monthly timespans overtime on this dashboard.
    • The current (today) analysis is calculated by setting the block_timestamp (day) to the maximum block_timestamp (today) from the flow.core.ez_nft_sales table.
    • All tables, charts, and data are set to be refreshed once a day. So, If you have noticed the incompatibility of my descriptions vs data, this is the main reason behind that.
    • There may be some projects missing on the results which are related to the “current” date, This is because there were not any sale for the related collections on today yet.
    • I am only considering successful transactions for this analysis.
    • On the above data, you can see the current (today) Floor price of your deisrable NFT collection as well as its all-time average floor price, its all-time minimum floor price and also its all-time maximum floor price.
    • On the over-time charts you can see the Floor price of this NFT collection on each day, week or month (default: Week)
