What is Quix?

Quix (former Quixotic) is the largest NFT marketplace operating on Optimism. Soon after the Optimism airdrop announcement, Quixotic announced its official launch to the masses. Because it runs on Optimism, its transactions and operations are fast and cheap compared to other marketplaces.

Magic Eden has by far the most number of sale transactions among all other marketplaces (6.418M) since the start of the July 2022. OpenSea is in the second rank of this term with total 4.168M transactions and Quixo is by far on the 3rd rank with just 63.801k transactions since July.

But, the number of users (both buyers and sellers) on Opensea platform is more than 2 other marketplaces.

Also, the total, average and median sale volume on OpenSea is way more than 2 other marketplaces and Quix is on the 3rd rank in all terms.

The number of traded NFTs on Magic eden is by far more than 2 other platforms.

According to the right chart, The most number of NFTs sale transactions on Magic Eden and Quix is done with less than $10 value but OpenSea’s sales are mostly between $10 - $100 value. We can also see higher high-volume sales on OpenSea compared to 2 other marketplaces and there are few sales on Quixotic with more than $1000 volume.

On the left chart, we can see total increasing number of NFT sales and the overall trend is lightly positive over time.

During the first months, OpenSea was always the Top performer among these platforms but after July, we can see increasing number of transactions on Magic Eden to the extent that during recent months, Magic Eden has completly overtook OpenSea in number of sales and is the top marketplace with most transactions during nowadays.

Quix’s share is the lowest one among these platforms which we can barely see a visible bar related to this marketplace on the chart which indicates the low number of transactions compared to these 2 giants. However, during recent days, we can see increasing activity for sales on Quix and there are some visible bars that shows the high activity of sales on this marketplace.

The overal trend for number of active buyers and sellers on these platforms is lightly decreasing over time (maybe because of bearish situation of Crytpocurrency market). We can see satisfying growth of Magic Eden marketplace over time to the extent that it may going to overtake OpenSea in this terms too in the near future.

Quix has the least buyers and sellers among these top performer platforms but its number of buyers and sellers is increasing over time especially during recent days.

Also on the left chart, we can see increasing number of traded NFTs (tokens) on Magic Eden. there are daily more and more number of new tokens being traded on Magic Eden and this marketplace is by far the leading one in this term.

According to the left chart, there is quite decreasing trend of sales volume on all these 3 platforms over time especially on OpenSea.

We can see OpenSea was by far the leading paltform till late-April 2022 but after this date, Magic Eden has almost taken the lead for like 2 months. Again after June, OpenSea has became the top performing platform with the most volume over time and its tranding volume is way more than 2 other during recent months.

Quix has by far the lowest volume compared to these 2 giant platforms, but its sale volume is increasing over time and we can see some high spikes related to this marketplace during recent days.

The result for average volume is also similar to the previous chart and the overall trend is quite negative over time.

On the above charts, We can see OpenSea has by far the lead among these platforms. Magic Eden was doing quite good since February till June 2022 but again after this date (and thanks to the bearish market!), its sales volume has been growing with less speed and couldnt overtake Opensea.

Quix has by far the least growth rate in Volume among these platforms.

On the above charts, we can see the number of daily new users to these platforms over time since the start of the new year.

As we see, the overall trend is lightly decreasing over time in both charts. The decreasing rate for number of buyers is even more than sellers.

Quix has performed really good in terms of attracting new users (both buyers and sellers) during recent months especially recent days and we can obviously see its high spikes during past week that shows the attraction of newbie users to this platform.

According to the above charts, the average number of sales on Magic Eden in a Day is more than 2 other platforms but the average active buyers, sellers and also the average daily Volume of transactions on OpenSea is way more than 2 other platforms.

Quix is on the 3rd rank in all terms among these top performers platforms.

Buyers Stats

Based on the above charts, Since July, The average purchase transaction by a Magic Eden user is almost 26 and is way more than OpenSea (8.69) and Quix (2.91). But, the total purchase volume of an average OpenSea user ($2729) is quite more than Magic Eden ($1141.24) and Quix ($120.69)

Since July, The most number of buyers on Quix have totally spent less than $10 for purchasing NFTs but OpenSea and Magic Eden users have mostly spent $100 - $1000 for purchasing transactions. Also, we can obviously see more whale activity (users with high total spent volume for purchasing NFTs) on OpenSea.

Moreover, most buyers on Quix have performed only one purchase transactions (this can be because this platform is way newer than 2 other) but OpenSea and Magic Eden buyers have mostly made between 2 - 10 purchase transactions. Also as mentioned above, we can see there are more users with high number of purchases on Magic Eden compared to 2 other platforms.

Based on the above charts, Since July, The average sale transaction by a Magic Eden user is 22.60 and is way more than OpenSea (9.7) and Quix (3.38). But, the total purchase volume of an average OpenSea user ($2599) is quite more than Magic Eden ($993) and Quix ($125.29)

Since July, The most number of buyers on Quix have totally gained less than $10 from selling NFTs but OpenSea and Magic Eden users have mostly gained $100 - $1000 from selling transactions. Totally, OpenSea users have gained more volume from selling NFTs compared to the 2 other platforms.

Moreover, most sellers on Quix have performed only one sale transaction but OpenSea and Magic Eden buyers have mostly made between 2 - 10 sale transactions. Also as mentioned above, we can see there are more users with high number of sales on Magic Eden compared to 2 other platforms.

0x36c72892fcc72b52fa3b82ed3bb2a467d9079b9a is the most active buyer on OpenSea (which was also the user with most spent volume for purchasing NFTs) with total 11.991k transactions.

and as mentioned above, the user address 7Rb5BKMC85HamvoEHvA4AR8kgpVubUjq679KcCosmrUs has the most number of purchase transactions (13.442k) on Magic Eden.

Since July, The user address 0xbbbbbbbef0a891b553f4b43864de6c7f9a8bdf24 has spent the most volume for purchasing NFTs on Quix ($113.2152k)

0x36c72892fcc72b52fa3b82ed3bb2a467d9079b9a as mentioned above is the top buyer in terms of volume on OpenSea with total $3.3740M spent volume for buying NFTs.

And the user address GAVhJ6sGpaPiHujKZAYW56LZN39n7Mmvq3ne176ArFMF is the top purchase on Magic Eden with total $1.932M spent volume. The interesting thing is that there is no trance of most active NFT buyer (7Rb5BKMC85HamvoEHvA4AR8kgpVubUjq679KcCosmrUs) among top 10 users with most spent volume for purchasing NFTs on Magic Eden.

Since July, The user address 0xbbbbbbbef0a891b553f4b43864de6c7f9a8bdf24 has gained the most volume from selling NFTs on Quix ($113.204)

0x3e71f87fc14c5c429057abb9637a08a0692bb467 as mentioned above is the top seller in terms of volume on OpenSea with total $3.07M gained volume from selling NFTs.

And the user address DnQqvSykMXXYJcPp6s7sSbutEjyH1zWYKA9q46gA87is is the top seller on Magic Eden with total $1.932M spent volume. The interesting thing is that there is no trance of most active NFT buyer (7g2bSCut8dHdELfyTpDkEF1gPM4PPn1jn7Yi1FACCivD) among top 10 users with most spent volume for purchasing NFTs on Magic Eden. Moreover, the weird thing is that volume gained by top Magic Eden seller (DnQqvSykMXXYJcPp6s7sSbutEjyH1zWYKA9q46gA87is) is exact the equal amount with volume spent by top Magic Eden Buyer (GAVhJ6sGpaPiHujKZAYW56LZN39n7Mmvq3ne176ArFMF) and both are $1,932,186 !!

Since July, The user address 0xa95579592078783b409803ddc75bb402c217a924 is the most active NFT seller on Quix with total 1450 sales.

0x3a8713065e4daa9603b91ef35d6a8336ef7b26c6 is the most active seller on OpenSea with total 12.85k transactions.

and as mentioned above, the user address 7g2bSCut8dHdELfyTpDkEF1gPM4PPn1jn7Yi1FACCivD has the most number of sale transactions (13.442k) on Magic Eden.

Since Start of the new year, Optipunk is also the top NFT collection on Quix platform. Bored Ape Yacht Club is also the top collection on OpenSea marketplace but Okay Bears is the top one on Magic Eden.

By comparing 6 above charts (Since July and Since Start of the Year 2022):

• Early Optimisits growth is clearly visible on Quix to the extent that this collection has reached first rank on the chart since July and there is no longer trace of Optipunk in this chart !
• ENS and OpenSea collection on the OpenSea has experienced satisfying growth to the extent that they overtook Clone X and Azuki but they have still long way to over take top performing NFT collection: Bored Ape Yacht Club.
• Growth rate of ABC is clearly visible on the Magic Eden and it have completly overtook top performing NFTs such as Okay Bears and Degods. The interesting thing is that there was no trace of ABC collection on the chart from start of the new year!

Since July, Early Optimisits is by far the top NFT collection on Quix platform. Bored Ape Yacht Club is the top collection on OpenSea marketplace and ABC is the top one on Magic Eden.

On the left chart, we can obviously see the owning of Quix top collections during the recent months among top 5 collections of other marketplaces.

Quix marketplace top 5 collections is so high to the extent that there are only obvious visible bars related to this platform’s collection.

total highest activity of top collections’ sales have achieved during May 2022 and mainly because of Magic eden and OpenSea sales.

Also on the left chart and in terms of volume, we can see Magic Eden and OpenSea top collections are performing better.

The highest peak of sales volume for these collections were during Late-April till Early-June and after that we can see quite decreasing trend of these collections activity over time.

However, during recent days, we can see quite increasing volume of sales for Quix top collections over time .

And on the above chart, the growth rate of top 5 collections on Magic Eden is more than 2 other platforms especially in sale volume. while the OpenSea is on the second rank here.

The interesting thing is the weird and amazing growth rate of sales activity for top 5 Quix collections and we can see its trend line is quite (almost vertical!!) increasing positive during recent days and this shows the satisfying growth of this marketplace’s top collections during recent days.

Opensea is the world's first and largest digital marketplace for crypto collectibles and non-fungible tokens (NFTs).

What is Magic Eden?

Magic Eden is the most popular NFT marketplace on the Solana blockchain. Launched on September 17 of 2021, it was created as a marketplace competitor that could act as a home base for NFT collections on SOL.

Methodology

In this dashboard, First, We are going to compare several overall metrics about these 3 NFT marketplaces (Opensea, Magic Eden and Quix) and their users (buyers and sellers) activity Since the start of the July 2022 and also since the start of the year 2022.

• The main tables that we are going to use for this bounty are optimism.core.ez_nft_sales, ethereum.core.ez_nft_sales, solana.core.fact_nft_sales and optimism.core.fact_event_logs.
• ==By comparing optimism.core.ez_nft_sales with real data on website, I have realized that data on this table is kinda incorrect (maybe they are just valid for Quixotic (former Quix) or old contract addresses). So, I have decided to manually extract NFT sales data on Quix by using its Seaport contract address (0x998ef16ea4111094eb5ee72fc2c6f4e6e8647666) and using event_inputs data on event logs table to reach a full and correct result about Quix)==
• We should filter the results of each table to the related marketplace. Quixotic for Optimism, OpenSea for Ethereum and Magic Eden (both v1 and v2) for Solana table.
• For the sales volume, we have to calculate USD amount of NFT sales for each marketplace. Optimism and Ethereum have the price_usd column in their table but we can also calculate the equal USD amount by multiplying the price * USD price of the related currency (using core.fact_hourly_token_prices tables). For Solana, sales prices in tables are in SOL. I have extracted the USD price of each sale by calculating the SOL USD price. Since Solana does not have a price table, we have to calculate the SOL price of each day from its swapping with stable coins such as USDC and USDT.
• I have just considered Successful sales transactions for more accurate results.

Considering the above facts, Let’s do some analysis:

The Magic Eden user 7Rb5BKMC85HamvoEHvA4AR8kgpVubUjq679KcCosmrUs is the most active with the most number of NFT purchase transactions (13.442k) on these 3 platforms since July 2022 while the Open Sea user 0x36c72892fcc72b52fa3b82ed3bb2a467d9079b9a has by far spent the most volume ($3.37M) for purchasing NFTs.

9 of 10 most active buyers on these platforms belong to the Magic Eden marketplace while 8 of 10 top users with most spent volume on purchasing NFTs belong to the Open Sea platform.

There is no trace of Quix users among the top 10 purchasers.

The Magic Eden user 7g2bSCut8dHdELfyTpDkEF1gPM4PPn1jn7Yi1FACCivD has also performed the most number of NFT sales transactions (13.442k) on these 3 platforms since July 2022 while the Open Sea user 0x3e71f87fc14c5c429057abb9637a08a0692bb467 has by far spent the most volume ($3.07M) for purchasing NFTs. The weird thing is that number of sale transactions for 7g2bSCut8dHdELfyTpDkEF1gPM4PPn1jn7Yi1FACCivD is the same number of purchase transactions by 7Rb5BKMC85HamvoEHvA4AR8kgpVubUjq679KcCosmrUs (both 13.442k) !

As buyers chart, 9 of 10 most active sellers on these platforms belong to the Magic Eden marketplace while 8 of 10 top users with most gained volume from selling NFTs belong to the Open Sea platform.

There is no trace of Quix users among the top 10 sellers.

Top Collections In Terms of Sales Volume

Conclusion

• Number of transactions and traded tokens on Magic Eden marketplace are more than OpenSea and Quix since July but number of users (both buyers and sellers) and also total volume of sales on OpenSea is way more than 2 other platforms and seems there are more whale activity on this platform.
• OpenSea sales are more heavier and they require more fee and gas but Magic Eden and Quix are marketplaces with cheaper sales and almost everyone can afford buying NFTs on these platforms with paying low amount of fees.
• Sellers on Magic Eden and Quix are more active than buyers but on OpenSea, Buyers are almost more active.
• Quix marketplace’s top collections are doing incredibly good during recent days to the extent that we can see higher and higher sale activity of its collections during recent days and they have totally owned top collections of OpenSea and Magic Eden.
• The overall trend line of sales volume and number of users (especially buyers) on all of these 3 platforms is quite decreasing over time. The main reason behind this decreasing trend can be because of bearish situation of whole cryptocurrency market.
• Top collections on OpenSea are almost always the same (The OtherSide and Bored | Mutant Ape Yacht Club) but the collections on Magic Eden and Quix are changing more and more over time and we obviously saw their changing activity on the above analysis.
• The highest peak of top collections for Opensea and Magic Eden platforms was during March - June but after this timespan there is quite decreasing trend over time for these platforms’s top collections.
• The highes peak of top collections for Quix is during recent days and its getting more and more over time.
• Totally, Opensea and Magic Eden are 2 giant NFT marketplaces in the Whole cryptocurrency market and other small-newbie marketplaces such as Quix have a way long way to improve themselves and reach performance similar to OpenSea and Magic Eden. But anyway, becuase of fast transactions and also low fees on Quix, we can see a bright future for this marketplace. Also, this marketplace is attracting the most number of new users (both sellers and buyers) during recent week and its growth in this term is even more than OpenSea and Magic eden.
• Quix marketplace’s growth is really satisfying in all terms especially in terms of its top collections and we can really see a bright future for this platform.
