21. [Hard] Preferred C-Ratio

What is the collateralization-ratio (c-ratio) that people like to keep their loans at? What is the distribution of this preferred value across addresses that volume that different borrowing addresses work with (small accounts vs. whales)? How does this ratio change with the price action of the collateral?

    Introduction

In this dashboard, we'll take a look at whales vs everyone else on what kind of c-ratio they like to keep while borrowing from AAVE.

    Whale Definition

To me, Whales are people who borrowed more then 10m worth of coins.

    Analysis

Based on their Net-Deposits, We can see that that the average is way over 50m which means that these people have a c-ratio of > 2.5.

    Conclusion

These whales are not playing with their money. They will not risk borrowing more capital just to farm more yield by borrowing tokens as it is game over once you get liquidated.
