Methodology

• Find the respective token contract and then use the prices table to find the daily average price of each token.

• Each token is compared against each other and WETH for daily change in price.

• We also compare price differences for each token again WETH and the token/WETH ratio.

• Then we look at the swap frequency, swap volume($USD) and number of swappers for each token.

Price Trends

• RocketPool/rETH has had the highest price as compared to other ETH derivatives
• Ankr/aETH has had the lowest price as compared to other ETH derivatives.
• We did see stETH decrease in price around July, 2022, however is has since then gained back the price.
• Only rETH has always had higher price than WETH, and has gone as high as a difference of 66 $USD on Sep 11, aETH and stETH have always traded below the price of WETH.
• aETH has seen fluctuations as low as 109 $USD below the WETH price on days like Aug 2, 2022.

Swap Frequency From ETH Derivatives

• stETH has been the most dominant ETH Derivative in terms of Swap Frequency and Volume and has had the highest swap frequency with 9K swaps and 500M $USD in swap volume.
• However something to note is that since Aug 27, 2022, rETH has been dominant in terms of number of swappers and swap frequency, however surprisingly the volume is quite low as compared to stETH.

Swap Frequency To ETH Derivatives

• stETH has been the most dominant ETH Derivative in terms of Swap Frequency and Volume and has had the highest swap frequency with 7K swaps and 500M $USD in swap volume.
• However something to note is that since Aug 03, 2022, rETH has been coming up in terms of number of swappers and swap frequency, however surprisingly the volume is quite low as compared to stETH.

Conclusion

• stETH is the most popular derivative as compared to other derivatives.
• rETH is seeing more wallets swapping to and from rETH, we might see popularity of rETH increasing in the near future.
