    Member Roles Bankless Dao

    In this dashboard we will be analysing number of Whales and Members in Bankless DAO since the beginning of the year. Whales and Members are both membership roles within Bankless Dao and require the person to hold a certain number of $BANK tokens in their wallet. A member of Bankless Dao is someone who holds 35,000 or more $BANK tokens, a Whale is someone who holds over 150,000 $BANK tokens. $BANK is the Bankless DAO governance token and membership grants access to the Bankless DAO community among other perks for holding $BANK, there is an option to get a membership to the DAO as a guest without buying tokens but this won't be included in the data.

    From the chart above we can see there are more Members when compared to the number of whales in Bankless Dao in the chart below. Due to the lower token threshold and lower cost to be a Member, it could be seen as a more accessible option for gaining membership perks within the Bankless DAO community.

    BanklessDao whale membership has been growing since the start of the year, reaching a peak of 417 on February the 24th growing from 380 at the start of the year. At the time of writing(March 4 2022) 20.5% of Bankless DAO members are holding enough tokens in their wallets to be classed as a Whale.
