In this dashboard, I will take a look at the number of Metamask users, how many Metamask wallets there are and the average ETH holding of Metamask wallets.
Nearly 10% of Metamask users take part in staking, showing that a small percentage of Metamask wallet users are willing to invest the crypto they hold by staking, with the potential of increased returns in crypto on their initial investment.
The number of Metamask wallets in October 2020 was in the tens or hundreds daily, since Mid January 2021 the number of wallets has never been lower than the thousands with a peak of 20.76 thousand wallets seen on December 25 2021.
At least 1.29 million wallets have used the Metamask Wallet.
Metamask is a wallet that allows users to see the crypto they have stored at a private address as well as interact with dapps & carrying out transactions. Users can use their wallets to store NFTs, mint tokens and NFTs with Web3 wallets such as metamask being seen as a passport to take part in decentralised finance. While some investors may prefer to leave their crypto on exchanges a wallet like Metamask gives wallet owners access to each crypto's private keys, ensuring that as long as they keep their wallet safe they have full ownership of their crypto.
The average Metamask wallet holds 1127 USD worth of ETH, or 1.03ETH, the dollar value multiplied by the number of Metamask wallets is over 1.4 Billion dollars worth of ETH.
• To find Metamask wallets I look for wallets that had completed a transaction with the Metamask swap contract 0x881D40237659C251811CEC9c364ef91dC08D300C.
• To find wallets who staked I looked for wallets that had completed a transaction and had the event type Staked.
• Average holdings were worked out by finding the average holding amount of Metamask wallets based on their balance, due to an issue with the number of ETH showing, I divided the amount in USD by the current price of ETH to find the number of ETH each wallet held.
