About Velodrome
Velodrome Finance, at its core, is a solution for protocols on Optimism to properly incentivize liquidity for their own use cases. Building on top of the groundwork laid out by Solidly, our team has addressed that first iteration's core issues to realize its full potential.
Methodology
- In this dashboard, the following tables are used to extract data:
optimism.core.fact_event_logsoptimism.core.fact_transactions
- Data is from June 15th onwards.
- The purpose of this dashboard is to analyze the Velodrome platform in terms of the amount of VELO locked, as well as the participation of Velodrome pools in voting.
Data Analysis
The chart below shows the locked VELO volume. In this diagram, two situations are shown:
1- Create Lock: In this case, users lock VELO for the first time.
2- Increase Amount: In this case, users increase their locked VELO volume.
According to this chart, since the beginning of July, the volume of locked VELO has been gradually increasing. However, the highest amount of locked VELO is related to June 15. (23.3M VELO) \n On the other hand, on June 20, users added the largest amount of VELO to their previously locked assets (1.7M VELO).
So far, a total of about 89.9M VELO have been locked on the Velodrome platform, of which 75.5M VELO were locked by users for the first time (Create Lock), and about 14.4M VELO were later added by users to their previously locked VELO(Increase Amount).
On average, daily users lock around 2.3M VELO for the first time on the Velodrome platform. On the other hand, 434k VELO also add to their previous volume.
On the other hand, according to the chart below, most users preferred to lock their assets in this platform for about 4 years.

- 194 Addresses → 1457 days
- 189 Addresses → 1460 days
- 160 Addresses → 1454 days
- 145 Addresses → 1455 days
The chart below also shows the 10 addresses that have locked the largest amount of VELO on the Velodrome platform.
Finally, the chart below shows the pools whose their users vote most often with their locked tokens.
Among these pools, vAMM - VELO/USDC, vAMM - OP/USDC and vAMM - WETH/USDC are ranked first to third with 1471, 953 and 410 contributions, respectively.
