In this question we are looking at the MetaMask wallet holders, their ETH balance and whether they engaged in higher order activities.

We considered those wallets that interacted with the swap feature of MetaMask as MetaMask users.

Part 1: Total Number of MetaMask Users

We found that there were 1,003,479 unique wallets engaged in transactions with MetaMask swap. Hence, we can conclude that there are about 1 Million users in MetaMask ecosystem.

Part 2: Average ETH Balance

Now that we know the total number of MetaMask users, lets take a look at their ETH balance.

First, we took the total balance of MetaMask users. As of June 24, 2022, there are 721,328 ETH in the wallets of MetaMask users.

We then divide the total balance by the number of users and we got 0.779 ETH per each user.

Part 3: Wallets Engaged in Higher-Order Activities

For the final section, we are interested in the percentage of wallets engaged in higher-order activities. For this part we chose to analyze the two events of staking and minting.

We can see that about 5.1% of the MetaMask users engaged in staking activities. Considering the user base of about 1 Million unique wallets, this means about 51,000 users of MetaMask, engage in staking activities.

Apparently, minting is not a favorable action among MetaMask users. Only 0.0669% of them engaged in minting, which are about 669 unique wallets.

Conclusion

• MetaMask has about 1 Million users
• On average each wallet has 0.78 ETH
• About 5% of the MetaMask users engaged in staking
