In this analysis, we are looking at the amount of prized awarded and claimed from PoolTogether. Based on our findings, PoolTogether prized are distributed on three chains, namely, Ethereum, Polygon and Celo. Token prizes are different on each blockchain. Since the question designed on Ethereum, we only consider that blockchain.

Notes: We use USD value of tokens on the time of claiming and not their current price.

PoolTogether Prizes on Ethereum

According to PoolTogether Faucets page Three token prizes are distributed on Ethereum: Pool, PPool and Sushi. The following table shows the total unclaimed, claimed and awarded tokens along with their USD value. Keep in mind that these USD values are based on the time the tokens were being claimed.

We used current PoolTogether's accounts balances to find unclaimed prizes, and then used each account's transactions to find the total claimed prizes. Summing them gave us the total awarded prized for each token.

PPool is a token tracker and that is why it has a USD price of 0.

We can see that the Pool token (native token of PoolTogether) is the dominant token used as a medium to distribute prizes. Our observations:

• Of 531,000 awarded Pools, 428,878 were claimed, about 80%.
• PPool and Sushi were awarded very rarely.
• About 50% of the PPools and 67% percent of the Sushis were claimed until now.

The following graph shows the USD volume of distributed prizes. Our observations:

• The Pool's USD volume is still the dominant variable.
• The USD amount of the claimed awards is much higher than the volume. In other words, while only about 80% of the total awarded Pools were claimed, about 99% of the USD volume of the Pool awards were claimed. This can mean that many people claimed their Pools before it price decrease and maybe those who won the prize does not have enough incentive to claim their prized at low Pool prize.
• Though very little, the USD volume of the claimed Sushi is 93% of the awarded ones. The same explanation of USD amount for Pool applies here too.
