    On November 14, 2023 Dapper Labs announced Disney Pinacle, an all-new socially driven collectible experience that brings the magic of pin collecting to the digital age. Disney Pinnacle will bring together characters from 100 years of Disney, along with beloved icons from Pixar as well as heroes and villains from the Star Wars galaxy, uniquely styled as collectible and tradable digital pins.

    "Disney Pinnacle connects fans around the globe together as they collect, trade, complete challenges, and showcase their love of beloved characters from the worlds of Disney, Pixar, and Star Wars through unique collectible digital pins."

    Disney Pinnacle allows fans to collect and trade verified, authentic, digital collectibles in their own environment, they are instantly able to share their love for iconic characters across their networks. It also enables them to carry their new collectibles with them wherever they go. With each collectible containing its own pin collectible trading journey, fans are also able to build their own unique collections anywhere, from their phones. Let's dive in:

    Part I: The Shop

    In the shop, collectors are able to purchase a selection of pins from Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios and Star Wars. There are currently three main forms of acquring pins in the shop:

    • Welcome Bundle • Revolving Storefront • Mystery Capsules

    • The Welcome Bundle is available for a limited time to begin your journey on Disney Pinnacle - each is limited to one purchase per customer and includes four pins from the Mickey & Friends Vol. 1 Set: Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Pluto, and Daisy Duck.

    • The Revolving Storefront is part of the main shop, and it updates with new digital pins for purchase, usually every four hours. This is one way collectors can hunt for remaining digital pins to complete their Starter Edition set; note that each pin is limited to one purchase per revolving storefront's timed window.

    • The third option are Mystery Capsules, each revealing one digital pin, and include a random assortment of pins and differing odds to pull.

    Part II: Edition Types

    • Starter Edition
    • Open Edition
    • Limited Edition
    • Genesis Edition
    • Unique Edition
    • Limited Event Edition

    Note: There is more direct information about each Edition in their unique tabs in this dashboard.

    • Starter Edition: Pinnacle released their first Start Edition Disney's Mickey & Friends Welcome Bundle digital pin set and it will be available until November 2024. These digital pins will not display any serial numbers and will be minted based on demand during their extended availability window. Collectors are not able to purchase multiples of Starter Edition pins. The Starter Edition pins are unable to be resold, transferred, or traded while they are available for sale in the Shop.

    • Open Edition: These digital pins are scheduled to be released each week and will be available for 3 weeks unless otherwise specified. Similar to the Starter Edition digital pins, these digital pins will not display serial numbers and will be minted on demand during their limited availability window. Disney Pinnacle may also reissue Open Edition digital pins again at a later time - first printing pins will be denoted with a special badge more about this below. While First Printing pins can only be obtained during the initial availability window for an Open Edition pin, reissues allow collectors a limited opportunity to obtain new printings.

    ℹ️ Open Edition releases will have pins accessible through the Revolving Storefront and collectors may also find a rare Open Edition variant for purchase. Most Open Edition sets are released over multiple waves, so you may need to keep checking back as new waves are released.

    • Limited Edition: These digital pins are serialized, and minted to a specific hard supply cap. These pins will never be reissued, and are generally available only via a limited supply of Mystery Capsules. Limited Edition digital pins are not available through the Revolving Storefront, and are only available through purchase of a Mystery Capsule.

    • Genesis Edition: These digital pins were the first minted on the project and are minted as 1-of-1's. These pins may be distributed at a later time.

    • Unique Edition: Details about these digital pins are not yet available, outside of being limited in their mints - with a likely hard cap (maximum mint) on total digital pins for each edition.

    • Limited Event Edition: Like the Unique Edition, there isn't much information yet on these pins, but they are likely limited run digital pins with a select time window to capture them. They have also been refereed to as 'Open Event Edition' pins. These could also include the ability for in-park or event geo-gating; where you will have to physically attend to claim.

    Part III: Variants

    Currently there are four variants of pins availible in the Open Edition type:

    • Standard
    • Digital Display
    • Golden
    • Silver Sparkle

    Each version has differing odds to pull in Mystery Capsules and in the Revolving Storefront. As of writing, the 'Digital Display' variant has the lowest probability of pull, and 'Standard' has the highest.

    Part IV: Pinbook

    A Pinbook is your opportunity to show off your Disney digital pin collection to your friends and other collectors.

    Part V: Value Props (Badges)

    Value props, or 'badges' as many of use would call them, are small icons that provide details on the offerings associated with releases and editions.

    Here is the current selection of value props - all are subject to change throughout the beta process.

    • First Printing: A First Printing is the initial production run of a digital pin. Additional pins may be reissued at a future date, but would not be First Printings.
    • Single Printing: Once sold, no more of any single printing digital pin will ever be minted.
    • Chaser: A Chaser digital pin is more scarce than others in its set. For Open Edition and Limited Edition Mystery Capsules, the odds of revealing the Chaser pin from a Mystery Capsule are lower.
    • Magic Reveal: Quickly spin a Magic Reveal digital pin to reveal bonus content! Once a Magic Reveal digital pin is Sold Out, only owners and those invited by the owner to view the Magic Reveal will be able to access the bonus content.

    ℹ️ Digital pins that have a Magic Reveal can be identified by the star next to them.

    • Limited Supply: Only a limited number of Mystery Capsules will be available while supplies last.
    • Queue (Don't Miss the Drop!): Join the pre-queue within 1 hour before the official drop to receive a randomized spot in line.
    • Starter Edition: Starter Edition digital pins are a great way to jumpstart your collection and are limited to one purchase of each pin within the set while available for sale through the Shop.
    • Pin Limitations: Digital pins with Pin Limitations have a holding period, meaning they cannot be sold or traded while available for purchase or until a specified date.
    • Open Edition: Open Edition digital pins do not display serial numbers and are minted based on demand during their limited availability window. Open Edition digital pins may also be reopened for a reissue at a future date. Any reissue will not carry the 'First Printing' value prop.
    • Revolving Storefont: Open Edition digital pins, including multiple variants, have a chance to appear for direct sale in the Revolving Storefront while the Open Edition release is available.

    ℹ️ Once the timer runs out the current pins will be removed from sale and different pins will become available.

    • Mystery Capsule: Purchase a Mystery Capsule to reveal and receive any one of the digital pins potentially available in that Mystery Capsule.
    • Limited Edition: Each Mystery Capsule reveals one of the five available serialized Limited Edition digital pins in a Limited Edition drop.
