    Introduction

NEAR Protocol is a decentralized application (dApp) platform and Ethereum competitor that focuses on developer and user-friendliness. Its native NEAR tokens are used to pay for transaction fees and storage on the Near crypto platform. NEAR Protocol is a layer-one blockchain that was designed as a community-run cloud computing platform and that eliminates some of the limitations that have been bogging competing blockchains, such as low transaction speeds, low throughput and poor interoperability. This provides the ideal environment for DApps and creates a developer and user-friendly platform. For instance, NEAR uses human-readable account names, unlike the cryptographic wallet addresses common to Ethereum

In the definition of active users, it can be said that users who have had at least one transaction on the NEAR network during the last three months have been identified as active users.

    Number of Near Active wallets

The graph below shows the number of active wallets on the NEAR network in the last three months. This chart has reached its peak many times, but the highest is on April 20, 2022 with 25k active wallets. It can be said that the general trend of the graph below is downward, which of course is not the reason for the weakness of the NEAR network and could be the reason for the bad situation of the entire crypto market. According to this chart, the largest number of active wallets was in April. Also, the number of active wallets has reached its maximum on dates including April 12, 20, May 5, 11, and June 8

Number of transactions by active users

The second chart shows the number of daily transactions made by active users in the last three months. In this chart, we see a peak on May 10, when more than 1.5 million transactions were made on that day. According to the bear market conditions, the number of transactions made by these active wallets has reached its lowest number in recent days.

The volume of transactions by active wallets

The third chart shows the volume of daily transactions made by active users in the last three months. In this chart, we see two big peaks on April 20 and May 11. The volume of transactions performed at the peak points of April 20 and May 11 is equal to 69 million and 57 million, respectively.

    Conclusion

The present work focused on the NEAR active wallets. In the first section, the number of active wallets on the NEAR network was calculated in the last three months. In the following, the number and volume of transactions performed by active wallets during this three-month period were obtained. Almost on all the days when the number of active wallets reached their maximum number, the volume and number of transactions also reached the peaks. The trend of active wallets is downward, which means that these days there are fewer wallets than in the past that have performed at least one transaction on the network.
