Hello. everyone! On this dashboard we are going to track the Opensea, the biggest NFT marketplace in crypto, on the Polygon chain and find out how much Opensea is getting from each NFT trade on it’s platform.

If we see the platforms docs, we can see it said they will be %2.5 of each trade as their own fee:

Now after knowing this nformations ,we can track the opensea wallets by following some NFT transactions. and find out how fees are being collected by the platform.

In transactions above, we can see 0.25 of total trade value have been deployed to 2 specific address, which can tracked here:

So we found the fee collector wallets related to Opensea .

Also another thing that should we pay attention on it is the tokens using to trade NFTs on OpenSea’s polygon version, again in polygon docs, we can find out there are different type of tokens can be used for NFT trades:

WETH, USDC, DAI and REVV.

Now with having good information about OpenSea’s wallets and the currencies , let’s start our analyses:

• Tokens popularity

As we see , WETH is to most assets used on NFT transactions related to both 1st wallet (wallet )

and the 2nd one ()

(naming method: 1st wallet had been using by Opensea before they use 2nd wallet too!).

On 1st wallet WETH with 91.68k Use is 1st choice, This amount for the 2nd wallet is about 127.5k transactions with WETH.

DAI in both ranks is the 2nd but on wallet 1 REVV has more usages comparing with USDC, while it’s vice versa on the second wallet.

As we see OpenSea is using the 2nd wallet more frequent than the older one, 128.8k transaction has been done using wallet 2 which means %58.2 transaction , this amount for 1st wallet is 92.2k transactions and %42.8 share

At the end with combining the both wallets data we find more than %99 pf Opensea transaction are polygon is making by WETH.

WETH has 219k usage times after that DAI with 1260K and USDC with 265 and at the end REVV token with just 98 times usage.

Now it’s time to find total amounts collected as trading fees by Opensea’s wallets:

• Transaction Counts

  After finding the tokens usage lets see how many transaction is being happening on Opensea:

As we see, the usage of wallet number 1 is sharply decreased through the time , but if you look the 2nd wallet chart you can,t see such a sharp decres like wallet on, now let’s combine both chart and see results now:

The decreasing Patten is still exits, meaning people rather to not participate in NFT project as high as before!

The results is very similar to transaction count, here also WTH is leader on both, On 1st wallet the income of WETH based transaction is about 2.53m $USD while is second one it’s about 4.85m $USD.

DAI in both ranks is the 2nd with 2.5k$USD and 12.63k $USD but on wallet 1 REVV has more dominance comparing with USDC, while it’s vice versa on the second wallet.

here let’s take a look to daily income of each wallet:

As we see, by reducing the usage counts of wallet 1, The income of the wallet is reduced too, but in wallet 2 (Which seems this one is Opensea’s main wallet for colleting income for now) the situation is not bad! at the end we see the total earning of 1st wallet is: 2.54m and the Total earning of 2nd one is 4.87m.

And finally with combining above data, we can find Opensea’s total earnings from the NFT trading fees:

As we see starting from 6th July 2022, the platform’s record earning in one single day is on 8th July with more than 269k $USD earnings in total also 18th July with less than 54K is worst day in this period, and at the end, Opensea has earned 7.41m $USD from NFT sales by 4 different tokens and 2 wallets as fee collectors.

Conclusion

• Opensea uses 2 different wallets for collecting trading fees, how ever 1 of them has not been used to much recently, in fact 128.8k transaction has been done using wallet 2 which means %58.2 of the all transactions , this amount for 1st wallet is 92.2k transactions and %42.8 share
• 4 different tokens can be used on NFT transaction on polygon on Opensea: WETH,REVV,YSDC and DAI.
• More than %99 of transactions and the volume of sales are belongs to WETH based collections.
• Total earning of 1st wallet is: 2.54m and the Total earning of 2nd one is 4.87m.
• starting from 6th July 2022, Opensea’s record earning in one single day is on 8th July with more than 269k $USD earnings in total also 18th July with less than 54K is worst day in this period
