User Behavior

Q11. What are users swapping for? What activities are the most common for users on Flow right now? Create a visualization on what’s causing spikes in swapping behavior.

Hello! Today I'm reviewing Flow users behavior in recent week.

At first let's find out most wanted token for swapping into:

So Teleported Tether token or tUSDT (the ERC20 USDT transferred into the Flow blockchain and supported by BloctoSwap dex) is the leader of the swaps here, Flow native token is in the second and Fusd (The native stable coin of Flow blockchain is in the third place.

Also we can see Teleported Tether and Flow have almost %94 of share of the swaps here.

And if we want to go dipper, we can see the daily number of the swaps:

Now Let's go to the second part and find out about users activity in recent 7 days.

But At first I should describe my method for tracking users activity:

As all transactions on Flow blockchain defined by contracts, Personally I used contracts usage counts for estimating users activity, for example if Flow token contract is used, that mean the user is doing a deposit or withdrawal of Flow token, in fact he doing something with flow tokens so the activity here is using Flow token.

Now after this description, lets find users activity:

    • As we see users mostly do transactions with flow tokens including both deposits and withdrawals so Using Flow token is the most activity which users have done in recent 7 days.

    • Flow fees contract in second place defines the fee payments on every transactions but can it be an activity? I mean do users select to pay fees by their own or they have to do it?!!

    • RLY in third place is the contract of using $RLY tokens in flow blockchain, but what is $RLY?!
RLY is a social token-oriented protocol that allows creators to launch their own token and build a digital economy around their work. Rally protocol takes no fees, has low environmental impact, requires no crypto experience, and seamlessly integrates with the platforms. Personally I think the content of this activity is like the first one, and it's about using tokens!

    • Both 4th and 5th contracts are from Joyride Games platform, What is Joyride games? Well let's know!
Joyride is a blockchain-powered competitive gaming platform for casual game developers and players on Flow. Games can be launched by developers on the Joyride platform with market-leading multiplayer competition, tournament formats, and publishing support. NFT and token support on the platform enable novel economics that power the game's community for the benefit of both developers and players on a global basis. So using Joyride platform is the next common activities of Flow users

    • The next place is for Float, Same as Poap on Ethereum and Gnosis, FLOAT is a unique NFT that signifies attendance or participation in an event. So people like to claim FLoats in recent 7 days ;)

    • This one is about NFTs! LNVCT: The contract of Live Nation's Virtual Commemorative Tickets! Unique digital collectibles which are digital memento for purchased concert tickets from Live Nation or Ticketmaster, building on flow. So collecting LNVCTs is our answer here.

    • Seussibles?! This one is also about NFTs! An officially licensed Dr. Seuss NFT collecting experience from Tibles and Dapper Labs on Flow. 600+ collectibles based on titles like Green Eggs and Ham; Fox in Socks; One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish; Horton Hears a Who!; Hop on Pop and Mr. Brown Can Moo!

    • NBA Top Shot: Needs nothing to say! The most famous NFT project on Flow. NBA Top Shot is a first-of-its-kind collectible game that allows people to collect, trade, and sell the most incredible and epic NBA moments as digital tokens.

    • Token forwarding: a bit different from the other ones! This contract shows how an account could set up a custom FungibleToken Receiver to allow them to forward tokens to a different account whenever they receive tokens. They can publish this Forwarder resource as a Receiver capability just like a Vault, and the sender doesn't even need to know it is different. When an account wants to create a Forwarder, they call the createNewForwarder function and provide it with the Receiver reference that they want to forward their tokens to.

Now after tracking users activity lets have final results:

    • Teleported Tether token (tUSDT) has been the most favorite token for swaps recently and this can be because of flow's sharp price fall recently.
    • Besides doing transactions with $FLOW and $RLY tokens, NFT projects and have High popularity in Flow users, In fact unlike many blockchains which are defi based, main activity of Flow users is about NFTs and gaming platforms.

You may surprise about high demand for tUSDT, but just looke at the Flow weekly chart and remember users can swap it for tUSDT on Bloctoswap, We all agree people like to save their money!
