Hello! On this dashboard we are taking a closer look to the NBA Top Shot collection and try to find out what kind of the NBA Top Shot ‘‘Play types’’ are the most wanted.

But what is does Play type mean?!

Play types are a kind of category for the NFTs, for example all 3 Pointer play types are the NFTs which contains a memorable 3 pointer shot moments.

So after the brief in formations about Play types let’s start our main work!

Q1:What play types do users hold most?

We can answer this question on 2 methods:

1. By looking at NFT_IDs and counting each of them, as each NFT_ID must have an holder, so it’s possible to find the holders number by counting the unique NFT_ids.

2. By looking to each NFT’s trade history and each users trade info on Top Shot Marketplace.

Here we are using both methods and fine the holders counts in both way:

As we see, In both methods, Rim typed NFTs are the most wanted play types, After Rims, 3 Pointer ones are the most wanted and Assist type NFTs are 3rd most wanted Play type among the all of the types.

How much volume in sales do these Play types generate?

At first we are taking a look to total sales counts of each Play type here:

With more than 127k sale counts and more than 3m $USD sale volume, Rim is the best seller collection on the Market .

After Rim, 3 Pointer types have almost 49k sale counts and more than 1.7m $USD sales.

And Assist moments are in 3rth place, with more than 41k sale counts and more than 1.14m $USD sale volume.

Here we are finding out each Play type’s share on total NBA Top Shot NFT sales of market. As we see Rim has the %40 of sales counts and is best seller by far, and the other ones have exiting battles for next places

If we look at the total transaction counts of each Play tye and the volume generated buy the total sales, we can easily find the average sale price of each play type.

And as we see here, Dunk/Layop type is the most expensive play type among all with average price of $74 USD, and after that 2 pointer and 3 pointer types are the most expensive ones,

How about NBA 2022 Finals, how was the play types sales stats in this period? lets find out!

We can see in mid days of the Finals, 3 pointer and assists have more sales counts than Rim, but at the end and after a close competition,

Rim is the leader of the Finals by %26 of the total sales counts

Although Rim has the highest sales number, but If you look at the volume, 3 pointer moments have generated more sale volume then any other play types.

272.640k $USD have been spent on 3 pointer types which means %37.1 of the total sales volume during NBA Finals is for 3 pointers..

And after that Rim and Block are in other places.

• Rim is the play type that has the most holders.
• Having more than %40 of the sales counts and more then 3m $USD volumes Rim is the leader play type on the Top Shot market too.
• Dunk/Layup Play type by the average price of 74.8 $USD is the most expensive Play type on average.
• During NBA 2022 Finals, 3 Pointer Play type attracted many buyers and got the best sale volume with 272.640k $USD.
• Although Not being the best on sale volume in $USD during the NBA finals , But Rim Play type was the most wanted type with 6237 sale counts.
