Quix Marketplace announced the Optimism NFT bridge launch on 11th October 2022, In this dashboard we are going to see how this bridge is using and what collections are bridging from Ethereum to Optimism with it.

But before we start let’s get familiar with this bridge:

What is the Optimism NFT bridge?

The Optimism NFT Bridge is a protocol that allows users to bridge ERC 721 NFTs from Ethereum Mainnet (Layer 1) to Optimism (Layer 2).

An average transaction on Quix costs less than $0.20 in gas and is up to 100x faster than on Ethereum mainnet. Additionally, Optimism is EVM equivalent, so smart-contracts on the network inherit the security of Ethereum and are written exactly the same way as they are on mainnet. Optimism even uses the same tooling ecosystem as L1 (ENS, Etherscan, Uniswap, Metamask), so the network is easy to adjust to.

    How Does the Bridge Work?

When you bridge an NFT from Ethereum, your L1 asset gets locked in a smart contract (which can be found here) and you receive an identical NFT on Layer 2. That “bridged” NFT on layer 2, then acts as a “key” which can be used to unlock the L1 NFT at any time. If you sell or transfer the bridged L2 NFT, then only the new owner will be able to unlock the L1 NFT for themselves.

    Methodology

In this dashboard we are tracking the number of NFTs and the collections and also transferring from Ethereum to Optimism via Optimism NFT Bridge and also the wallets making this transfers and find how much they payed for their transfers on Ethereum.

After that take we will take a look to bridged NFTs and find out how many of them have sold on Quix after bridging.

Since the official announcement of the bridge launch on 11th October, 115 NFTs have been transferred from Ethereum to Optimism by this protocol and 12th October, with 44 transfers in total, have the highest record until the time I’m creating this dashboard. \n The bridge announcement published around 8pm on twitter and hourly chart shows users started to transfer NFTs in a hour after the announcement, and the highest record of the most transfers in one hour was submitted on 9pm of the same date too, so we can say users were excited for the NFT bridge launch!

How many NFTs have bridged to Optimism?

The charts tell the number of bridge users are growing through the time as we can see higher amount of users in each day compared with the day before.

13th October, with 36 unique users have the highest record here and as we see, 54 different wallets have tried Optimism NFT bridge at least one time.

How many users are using NFT bridge?

    How much the bridging costs?

$567 has been payed by the users to bridge their NFTs to Optimism. (the bridging process is free and the payments is for the transaction fees on Ethereum)

Averagely each users has transferred 2.13 NFT and payed $10.49 for the fees.

And finally we can see, users have to pay $4.93 for each NFT transfer for gas fees.

What collections are bridging the most?

    db_img

23 different collections has come to Optimism via NFT bridge, and Aiko Virtual collection with 57 NFTs has the highest share of these transfers, after that The Merge collection with 27 and MEV Army with 5 NFTs are the next most bridges collections.

Who are the most active bridgers?

Wallet 0xd630a51b9d1c03f7f3ff623e48a505d4d9428f75 with 22 transfers (which is almost %20 of the total transfers) is the most active user on Optimism NFT bridge, after that wallet 0xbf70200dd73d5f3aafa4f0d8adacdeaf3798b7f9 with 17 and wallet

0xeae03eb54eb26b38057544895e834af42fc46a69 with 12 transfers are in next places.

How many NFTs have been sold after bridging?

Only 16.4% of the bridged NFTs have been sold on Optimism until now, which means 23 NFTs in total. And as we see 100% of the sold NFTs are from Aiko Virtual collection.

    Overall Bridged NFTs sales stats:

$619 has been transferred between 23 trades of bridged NFTs, which means, $26.9 for each NFT on average, and if we check the daily stats we see the both sales counts and values have a growing tend.

    Bridged Aiko Virtual’s sales status:

    db_img

Same as the overall status of the bridged NFTs, Aiko virtual NFTs are holding in wallet instead of selling after moving to Optimism, either. 23 NFTs of 57 Aiko virtuals bridged to Optimism have been sold on Quix until now, which is 31.6% of the total bridged Aiko virtuals \n Aiko virtual - 4331 has both the most trading and the most expensive sales record in this collection. It has been traded 3 times and with $45.29 is holding the most expensive NFT record.
