Arbitrum nova brief intro :

Arbitrum Nova is a new chain that is primarily intended for gaming and social applications, and was first announced earlier this year, and is the first chain built using Arbitrum’s AnyTrust technology.

The chain is intended for projects with high transaction volumes that are looking for low-cost and high-security solutions. Arbitrum has said that it has granted access to over 100 development teams. It also makes use of a Data Availability Committee, and initial members include ConsenSys, FTX, Google Cloud, Offchain Labs, P2P, Quicknode, and Reddit.

Zksync brief intro :

zkSync is an L2 protocol based on ZK rollup architecture. ZK rollup is a flavour of a larger "rollup" family .

zkSync is part of a group of Layer 2 solutions called rollups. More specifically, zkSync is a ZK rollup. (The ZK stands for zero knowledge, which is a cryptographic term for one party being able to prove to another that something is true, without revealing any other information.)

Methodology

In this dashboard i will analyze bridges to Optimism , Arbitrum nova and zkSync rollups on Ethereum ( Later i will explain why i decided to analyze these three platforms )

I will analyze bridges to these three platform and compare bridges before and after Ethereum Merge on daily basis and two weeks before & after The Merge .

I will use ethereum.core.ez_eth_transfers table to get data and information about ETH token bridged to these three rollups , data we fetch from table will be bridge transactions , daily bridges , weekly bridges , ETH token amount in ETH & $USD , unique users of each platform and etc..

Why we analyze Optimism , Arbitrum nova , zkSync ?

These three platforms are under develop and some of these are newly launched and can have huge impact on Ethereum because have power and capability to host dapps on themselves and increase transactions and users of platform and have large impact on Ethereum .

Arbitrum nova : Ethereum scaling solution Arbitrum has launched its second Ethereum Layer 2 chain, Nova, the team announced on Aug-09-2022

Arbitrum has launched a new gaming-optimized blockchain and partnered with Reddit to help it move its community points system to Ethereum.

nova chain is intended for gaming and social applications that are cost sensitive and have a lot of transaction volume.

zkSync V2,now live on testnet!

Say goodbye to high fees on Ethereum: the first EVM compatible ZK rollup has arrived. zkSync is a mission-driven project. Its purpose is to break financial barriers and enhance world’s freedom — by accelerating the mass adoption of public blockchains .

Conclusions

According to all charts and data and visualizations we saw in this dashboard we can say these three rollups that are mostly under development and specially Arbitrum nova which not supported by any DEX ( as i checked ) gaining popularity and getting more useful and at future can have huge impact on Ethereum .

As zkSync says zkSync 2 is currently running on testNet and in future can have impact either good or bad on Ethereum but i think it will have good impact because as we see activity on zkSync getting higher and higher these days and bridges from Ethereum shows that .

Also as we can see bridges to Optimism growing specially in case of ETH token’s $USD amount these days and this tells us users going to use rollups more than before and they are trusting and want to participate more on rollups . and finally about Arbitrum nova which designed to gaming and social applications .

Observations

• According to above daily bridges visualizations we can say number of bridges , amount of bridges and unique users who bridged ETH token to Arbitrum nova reduced since Merge , but the point is even though bridge transactions reduced but number , amount and users that bridged ETH token to Arbitrum nova is not low actually is great even though it is newly launched at Aug-09-2022 and is under development .

According to above daily transactions over Arbitrum visualizations we can say :

• After nova chain launched number of transactions and users of Arbitrum increased significantly since aug-09-2022 and activity of Arbitrum chain increased !

According to above visualizations about bridges two weeks before & after The Merge we can say :

• Total bridges in all cases reduced since two weeks before The Merge , but no worries this is still good because nova is still under development and not supported in any DEX because of that bridges reduced and another reason is current market unstable situation .

According to above visualizations about daily bridges from Ethereum to Optimism before & after The Merge we can say :

• Unlike Arbitrum nova chain bridges to Optimism in all cases increased after The Merge Optimism is gaining attentions and can have big effect on Ethereum and Optimism want to give airdrop to users and want to start a campaign to do that because of this users and activity on Optimism growing in this market situation which is not good and stable .

Observations

According to above visualizations about bridges two weeks before & after The Merge from Ethereum to Optimism we can say :

• Unlike Arbitrum nova chain bridges to Optimism in all cases increased since two weeks before The Merge for example number of unique users who bridge to Optimism increased by almost 1k users and this is so good because we can see Optimism gaining users and increasing it’s activity and can have huge impact on Ethereum in future .
• As we can see ETH token’s $USD amount increased by 100M $ two weeks after The Merge and bridge transactions increased by almost 1.1k after Merge .

According to above visualizations about daily bridges to zkSync before & after The Merge we can say :

• In all cases we can see bridges after Merge increasing significantly and this shows rollups getting more popular on Ethereum after The Merge even though market is not stable and the world is changing . zkSync can have huge impact on Ethereum , for now zkSync 2 is running on testNet but in future according to this chart that shows zkSync is getting more popular zkSync can have great impact on Ethereum chain .

According to above visualizations about bridges two weeks before & after The Merge from Ethereum to zkSync we can say :

• In all cases we can see bridges after Merge increasing significantly since two weeks before Merge and this shows popularity of zkSync .
• By looking at the users of zkSync we can see users increased by almost 3.3K since past two weeks zkSync showing its potential to increase activity of Ethereum users .
• As we can see over past two weeks 4.1M $USD amount of ETH token bridged to zkSync .

Observations

According to above visualizations about daily bridges from Ethereum to all these three rollups we can say :

• In all of amount of ETH tokens bridged to these platforms we can see ETH amount is growing and this shows these rollups is getting trust by users even though the market’s situation is not good and these chains are under development specially zkSync and Arbitrum nova .
