What Is Optimism (OP)? brief intro

Optimism (OP) is a layer-two blockchain on top of Ethereum. Optimism benefits from the security of the Ethereum mainnet and helps scale the Ethereum ecosystem by using optimistic rollups. That means transactions are trustlessly recorded on Optimism but ultimately secured on Ethereum.

Optimism is one of the biggest scaling solutions for Ethereum with over $300 million in TVL. It is home to 35 protocols, the biggest being Synthetix (SNX), a derivatives exchange, Uniswap (UNI), a DEX, and Velodrome (VELO), an AMM. Users can begin their journey on Optimism by adding the chain on their Metamask and bridging tokens like ETH to the L2. On May 31, 2022, Optimism conducted a highly anticipated airdrop of its OP token. The airdrop was so popular that it briefly slowed down the Optimism blockchain.

Methodology

In this dashboard i will show you inflow and outflow of Optimism platform base on ETH , USDC , USDT & DAI token an ill show you how it changed over time . I will show you distribution of inflow & outflow of each token . The main source and destination of inflow & outflow of tokens will be Ethereum blockchain .

I will mainly use ethereum.core.ez_eth_transfers table to get data and information about inflow & outflow of ETH token in Optimism platform .

I will use ethereum.core.ez_token_transfers table to get data and information about inflow & outflow of USDC , USDT & DAI in Optimism platform .

Conclusions

According to the all data , information and visualizations we saw and talked in this dashboard we come to these conclusions :

we saw there was 9144 unique users who bridged 933.7M USDC token with 12.3k transactions from Ethereum which is most popular token bridged to Optimism even popular than ETH token with USD worth of 864M bridged to Optimism so far .

we saw there was 560 unique users who bridged 451.9M USDC token with 1175 transactions from Optimism to Ethereum which is most popular token bridged to Ethereum even popular than ETH token with USD worth of 228M bridged to Ethereum from Optimism so far .

We saw USDC token was bridge way than every token between Optimism or Ethereum so far.

we saw 86% of bridges to Optimism was with value of less than 0.5 ETH and also since Oct-10-2022 bridges to Optimism significantly increased .

we saw USDC token is most popular token bridged between Optimism and Ethereum so far .

Observations

According to above charts about inflow of ETH token in Optimism we can see total USD worth of 0.86B bridged from Ethereum to Optimism platform so far with 213k bridge transactions by 183k unique users .

We can see in Sep-11-2021 total 9628 unique users submitted 9.9k ETH token bridge transactions from Ethereum to Optimism which is highest number of daily unique user and bridges so far .

We can see since Oct-10-2022 ETH token bridges and unique users who bridge ETH token to Optimism growing which was reduced since June-2022 .

The highest amount of daily ETH token bridged to Optimism was at Aug-04-2022 which total 65.7k ETH token with USD worth of 106M was bridged to Optimism from Ethereum .

Observations

According to above charts about outflow of ETH token in Optimism we can see total USD worth of 226.9M bridged from Optimism to Ethereum so far with 1774 bridge transactions by 1125 unique users.

We can see there is daily average almost 5 bridge transactions submitting 1 or 2 unique users .

According to above charts about inflow and outflow of ETH token in Optimism platform we can see inflow of ETH token from Ethereum to Optimism is way more greater than outflow of ETH token to Ethereum and since Oct-10-2022 ETH token bridges to Ethereum increased so much greater than before over past 60 days .

According to above charts about USDC , USDT & DAI bridged to Optimism we can see there is 9144 unique users who bridged 933.7M USDC token with 12.3k transactions from Ethereum which is most popular token bridged to Optimism even popular than ETH token with USD worth of 864M bridged to Optimism so far .

We can see 2966 unique users bridged 168M USDT to Optimism which is second popular token here after USDC and DAI is least popular token bridged to Optimism with only 5 bridge transactions .

According to above charts about USDC , USDT & DAI bridged to Ethereum we can see there is 560 unique users who bridged 451.9M USDC token with 1175 transactions from Optimism to Ethereum which is most popular token bridged to Ethereum even popular than ETH token with USD worth of 228M bridged to Ethereum from Optimism so far .
