How does NEAR stock up to other L1s in terms of speed and performance?

How fast is NEAR,

and compare it with other blockchain speeds in terms of transactions per minute and percentage of transactions that fail. 

Approach

In this dashboard, I have compared Near to Solana and Ethereum networks in terms of Transaction per minute(tpm),transactions status over time and failed transactions rate

Looking at the charts, in terms of transaction per minute, Solana is the top one by far, Ethereum is the second . Flow stands in the third place in this metric.

Findings :

• Near is not as fast as Solana and Ethereum ( specially Solana)
• in terms of transaction success, Near performance was better with only0.65% Failure rate since '2022-05-01' compared to Solana with 33% and Ethereum with 4.02%
