Ref Finance is a decentralized exchange (DEX) built on the NEAR Protocol that has quickly become the most popular DEX on the network. At its core is a novel automated market maker (AMM) similar to Uniswap, but Ref Finance goes beyond that with a suite of DeFi tools and services built around the AMM.
One of the unique features of Ref Finance is its decentralized governance through the Ref DAO. The DAO is split between two councils and governs everything from token generation to distribution and management in a decentralized and community-oriented manner.
In terms of technical features, Ref Finance offers fast and cheap transactions with 1-2 second finality and optimal runtime. It's also ERC-20 compatible through the Rainbow Bridge and will soon integrate with the Aurora Network, allowing for the rapid transfer of assets between Ethereum and NEAR.
