Uniswap, Rolling Up The Mountain

How does the newly launched Uniswap on Avalanche compare to its DEX counterparts?

    Introduction

    Uniswap now on Avalanche!

On Jul12th 2023 the long awaited and highly anticipated Avalanche support by Uniswap came to reality with its Uniswap V3 launch on Avalanche network, now in this analysis we will go over to answer how in this two week launch period how the Uniswap, one of the most predominant DEXs across crypto universe performed against other DEX on Avalanche chain and other chains in terms of swapped volume, swaps and swappers in addition to any other relevant topics.

    What is Avalanche?

Avalanche is a decentralized blockchain platform known for its innovative consensus protocol, scalability solutions, and cross-chain interoperability. The platform's Avalanche consensus mechanism employs a unique voting-based approach, enabling rapid and efficient transaction processing with high throughput and quick finality. With support for subnets and custom blockchains, developers can create specialized networks tailored to specific needs, fostering a diverse range of decentralized applications and financial systems. Additionally, Avalanche's compatibility with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) facilitates seamless porting of existing Ethereum-based applications, enhancing interoperability and expanding the ecosystem. Its emphasis on low transaction fees, robust security, and decentralization positions Avalanche as an ideal solution for DeFi applications, asset tokenization, and various other use cases. more info

    What is Uniswap?

Uniswap is a decentralized exchange (DEX) protocol on Ethereum, allowing users to trade ERC-20 tokens without centralized intermediaries. It operates with automated market makers (AMMs) and liquidity pools, where users provide tokens to facilitate trades and earn fees. Uniswap's permissionless and user-friendly nature has made it a central player in the growth of decentralized finance (DeFi) on the Ethereum blockchain. more info

    Methodology

In this analysis I've mainly used 'avalanche.core.ez_dex_swaps' and filtering it via using "uniswap" as my preferred protocol for extracting metrics regarding Uniswaps swapping scene on Avalanche, other tables such as 'chain_ .core.ez_dex_swaps' and 'avalanche.core.fact_transactions' were less occasionally used all of the used tables were provided by flipsidecrypto database, an array of proper charts and graphs was used to make these raw extracted data more comprehensible. the starting time stamp is right around Uniswap launch on Avalanche and time format is parametrized.
