Average Solana Portfolio

    • Q91. What does the average Solana user's portfolio look like and how has that changed over time?

    INTRODUCTION

Solana is a blockchain that has a variety of transactions for the user such as stacking, nft mints/sales and swaps.

    METHODOLOGY

Solana Flipside tables are challenging to understand a first glance.

Using the event table to get the total owners account, and then with the swap/nft/stack tables to get an estimated of users with activity in these transactions is possible to have a general idea of the average user portfolio.

There are clean and better methods to analyze the user activity but this is my best shot to get a simple analysis.

    ANALYSIS

The total amount of accounts in Solana, is 5,998,138 but only 337,959 accounts have stacking, 823,590 have nft or 693,319 have sell nft and 1,678,441 of accounts have swapped in Solana.

At least there are "3,533,309" accounts that have done at least 1 transaction, although this may be a lot lower considering that the number of accounts that swap probably include the accounts that stock or trade with nft, probably is better to assume that the real number may be lower than half of the total volume of accounts in Solana.

If a random user is selected the chances that his account doesn't have activity regarding stack/swap/nfts are higher than having done at least one transaction.

The average Solana user's portfolio tends to doesn't have activity more than the event for creating an account.

But in case of an active user, the average tends to use Solana for swapping.

    SUMMARY

    • There are a total of 5,998,138 accounts in Solana.

    • Swapping tokens is the popular activity for accounts in Solana.

    • The average user portfolio may have only swap activity or None.
