Keypom and Icebreaker Analysis
Web2 Experiences with a Web3 Reward
Some projects in Near allow users to create new kinds of experiences allowing them to create "Airdrop Links" to use as incentives for marketing or rewarding purposes and that's how Icebreaker and Keypom work.
Icebreaker: Make your message heard. Reward Replying
- This Project allows users to write a message and set a reward of $NEAR when the message is answered.
- Using a Public Key, the funds are linked and whenever someone answers the message, it can redeem the funds.
However, the project only allows wallets from NEAR Wallets which are going to be deprecated soon.
Keypom: Create Instant Web3 Experiences
- Keypom allows users to create "Airdrops" of $NEAR and NFTs and soon it will feature also QRs code as tickets for events.
- When Using this Project, you create a "Drop" where you define the rules, the number of public keys to use (Links), how many times these Links can be used, and the amount of $NEAR or the NFT received per Link.
- No Wallet Needed, Keypom will let new users use a trial account to receive the drop and interact with your project, and they can convert this account into a full-blown wallet retaining their transactions and tokens.
Keypom is constantly evolving, and it allows support for MyNearWallet besides NEAR Wallets. In the future, more use cases for drops will be implemented.
