Summary
Exchange Art is slowly growing over time:
- NFT Sales: The growth in total sales was really low until August 2022 , where finally the monthly sales present a spike but this hype is followed by a downtrend, but still with better performance than the previous months, finally in November we can see another spike in sales that follow another downtrend again but with better performance than months before.
- Sales Volume: Every month the total sales volume was increasing by a bit but in August 2022 the sales volume reached a spike, and a little growth the following month, after a downtrend in October 2022, Sales Volume starts increasing in November 2022 and December 2022 have the biggest spike in Sales Volume.
It’s seems that since November 2022 the amount of Activity in the Marketplace increased, and although the performance of January 2023 isn’t higher is still the best in comparison with the average month.
Meanwhile the Buyers of NFTs in this marketplace likes to hold their NFTs until 3 days or to hold it between 1 month to 3 months.
Most of the Profit selling Exchange Art NFTs comes from Holding their NFT by a period of 1 to 3 months for the longing and 1 to 3 days for the shorting.

Using Flipside Crypto Solana Table of:
solana.core.fact_nft_sales:
To get information about NFT Sales with:PURCHASER
: To get the Buyers.SELLER
: To get the Sellers.SALES_AMOUNT
: To get the $SOL Price of the Salecount(*)
: To get the SalesMINT
: To get the Unique NFTsMarketplace
: To filter by Marketplace.
Most of the information comes from a single table, and then we need to make differents kind of queries to get the marketshare or the sales volume distribution.
To get the Holding time we select the buyers from Exchange Art/Magic Eden and then we select only NFT Sales from Exchange Art/Magic Eden, to get the distinct NFTs bought in these Markets.
After getting the NFTs and Buyer we need to look for sales with the same NFTs and this time with the Buyer as the Seller, because the question only talks about NFTs bought in specific Marketplace, for the Sell we look for every marketplace, and the we can get our data, specific the date & price of the buy and the date & price of the sell finally we need to count the dates passed between each event and rest the buy price against the sell price to get the profit.
