$ARB DAO Allocation

1.13% of ARB Allocations have been sent to DAOs within the Arbitrum ecosystem. If you were the Arbitrum Foundation, how would you allocate these tokens across DAO users, and why? First analyze the top DAOs within the arbitrum ecosystem. Then, provide reasoning through on-chain data as to why they should receive an allocation and how much?

    Overview

Arbitrum, a prominent Ethereum Layer 2 scaling solution, has announced plans to airdrop a new token and transition into a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO).

The Arbitrum team plans to distribute the new token to users of its platform who have actively participated in using its services, such as liquidity providers and those who have executed transactions.

The Arbitrum token is majority community owned (~56%). Of that community allocation, 12.75% will be distributed in the Arbitrum Airdrop on Thursday, March 23, based upon data taken on a snapshot on February 6, 2023.

Users can visit https://arbitrum.foundation and follow the prompts to check airdrop eligibility details.

Additionally, Arbitrum plans to transition into a DAO, which will give users a say in the governance and decision-making process of the platform.

Arbitrum’s Layer 2 scaling solution has gained significant traction in recent months as users have sought alternatives to the high fees and congestion on the Ethereum network.

With the upcoming token airdrop and transition to a DAO, Arbitrum aims to further incentivize users to participate in its ecosystem and help drive the platform’s growth and development.

    Methodology

The theme of this dashboard is about $ARB one and only token that's recently under the spotlight on crypto market. So in order to obtain the data for analysis, we need to identify two main items.

    1. Issuer aka (Arbitrum Foundation) : 0x67a24ce4321ab3af51c2d0a4801c3e111d88c9d9
    2. $ARB token address : 0x912CE59144191C1204E64559FE8253a0e49E6548

From that then we search the data from several tables provided by flipside crypto. They are : arbitrum.core.fact_transactions, arbitrum.core.fact_event_logs.

Besides, also using arbitrum.core.dim_contracts and arbitrum.core.dim_labels to identify the parties that receive the airdrop token, swap activity, cex transfer and others.

In order to determine whether the allocation is fair, I have split the analysis into 3 parts.

    1. $ARB overall token analysis

    2. Class size analysis

    3. Transaction after $ARB claimed
