2. Daily average stETH stake size

• There is no consistent average stake size for stETH over the period of time from January 2021 to May 2022.

• Most of the days having around 10k to 30k average stETH stake size.

• For the highest average stake size, it has reached up around 1.9 Million USD. This is might due to less staking transaction on the day and the only transaction is large in size.

Is there any increase in average stake size?

• There is no sign of any increase or decrease in average stake size for stETH.

3. Daily amount of stETH stakers

stETH stakers amount can be separate into 3 cycle.

• First, Jan 2021 to Aug 12 2021, the daily amount of stakers only having below 100 per day.

• Second, Aug 13 2021 to end of Feb 2022, on average there is around 120 to 150 stETH stakers per day.

• Third, March 2022 up until the day of analysis, on daily average there is more than 200 stETH stakers on Lido.

• There are 3 days which Lido having a surge of stETH stakers. Those days are 14th August 2021, 11th February 2022 and 7th May 2022.

• The first surge has recorded more than 1k stakers, while in Year 2022, both days having more than 2k stakers.

• In whole, there is a slight growth in terms of number of stakers over certain period of time.

1. Daily Volume stETH staked

• On most of the days, the volume of stETH stake on Lido range between 1k to around 10k.

• There is no consistent trend in the staking of stETH.

• During the peak, there are close to 200k stETH staked on Lido.

• There are few period when stETH staking having higher volume. They are Aug 2021 to Sept 2021 and March 2022 to May 2022.

Cumulative stETH stake

• Over the time, the stETH stake volume has gradually increase.

• There are in total 2.7 Million stETH stake in Lido.

What is stETH?

Users that stake ETH on Lido to receive stETH**. stETH is Lido’s liquid token equivalent of staked Ethereum.

Users can stake their ether with Lido, bypassing the restraints (illiquidity, immovability, and inaccessibility) from just staking in the Eth2 deposit contract directly.

Lido’s stETH is fully intended to be used across a wide range of varying DeFi protocols where applicable. These use cases can range from lending protocols, DEX'es or liquidity pools, yield aggregators, yield optimizers, derivatives

4. Average Staking Duration for respective stake size

For the chart analysis above, the null value indicating the stETH stakers still having their token stake in Lido and has not remove from Lido.

Observation

• In most of the stake size distribution, the majority still belongs to "NULL" category, which means the stakers still staking with Lido for their stETH token.

• The analysis showing that the higher the stake size, the longer the average staking duration by stETH stakers.

• At least a month staking stETH before stakers removing from their staking.

• The staking average range between 30 days to 95days.

Distribution on quitters vs stakers

• Majority of stETH stakers still remain staking on Lido, with a percentage of 72.1%.

• Only 27.9% of the stETH stakers removed their staking position.
