Cosmos Introduction

Cosmos is a network of blockchains that can scale and communicate with one another. Blockchains were previously isolated and unable to communicate with one another. They were difficult to construct and could only handle a limited number of transactions per second. Cosmos answers these issues with a new technological perspective.

Proposal 82 Introduction

The Cosmos Hub will be transformed into an infrastructure service platform as described in Proposal 82. It suggests the Interchain Scheduler and Interchain Allocator, two pieces of app-specific functionality that when combined constitute a flywheel to speed up interchain growth. Additionally, it outlines the creation of Cosmos Councils, entities with specific topic knowledge that conduct development and operations, and the Cosmos Assembly, an accountable body in charge of establishing annual goals and managing work done on behalf of Cosmos Hub.
