Access Protocol

    Introduction🚨

    What Is Access Protocol?

    • Access Protocol is a new model monetization layer, built with web3 in mind, that aims to revolutionize the way content creators can monetize their content. Under the current system, creators are beholden to traditional platforms like Patreon, Substack, YouTube and Twitch, which force creators to rely on algorithms data and social media reach to gain new subscribers and get paid accordingly.

    • In the Access Protocol ecosystem, the model monetization layer is radically different. Users can support their favorite content creators directly and receive benefits for their patronage. By integrating Access Protocol, creators can paywall and customize premium content on the Access content hub, where subscribers (ACS token stakers) can pay directly to the creators to access this content without an intermediary.

    What does Access Protocol do?🤔

    • Access Protocol addresses several challenges, with a primary focus on reducing content creators' dependence on ad revenue dominated by platforms like Google, Facebook, and Twitter. Many creators face difficulties monetizing their content, especially if they fall short of intermediary-imposed requirements.

    • The protocol aims to strengthen connections between digital content creators and their supporters, enabling direct support for artists without the need for intermediary platforms like Facebook, Twitch, YouTube, or TikTok.

    • Additionally, Access Protocol eliminates the waiting period for creators to monetize their content. While platforms like YouTube demand a minimum of 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 hours of public viewership for monetization eligibility, Access Protocol allows immediate monetization for integrated creators. They are featured on a leaderboard, making it easier for users to discover them without relying on algorithms, social media ads, or word of mouth.

    • This system also benefits fans by enabling direct support for their favorite artists, ensuring that content creators are fairly rewarded for their efforts. Unlike Twitch, where streamers typically receive only 50% of subscription fees, Access Protocol provides a more direct and rewarding connection between creators and their audience.

In this dashboard, you will find information about the Access Protocol's metrics over time, user behavior, and the protocol's performance since its launch in February 2023. Now, almost 10 months later, I have decided to analyze the project to explore its performance.

The dashboard also includes a portfolio section where you can enter your wallet address at the top of the dashboard and see your overall and ongoing activity on the protocol.
