Aave Delegates' Gas Usage
Introduction:
Aave is an Ethereum-based decentralized lending protocol that allows users to borrow and lend various cryptocurrencies without the involvement of an intermediary.
The Aave protocol is governed by AAVE and/or stkAAVE token holders. Holders receive governance powers proportionally to the sum of their balance. This process aims to share a vision of alignment between various stakeholders within the Aave ecosystem, protocol functionality and the AAVE token as a core securing element of the Aave Protocol.
In this dashboard I'll dive into Aave delegates gas usage in the voting process for past 90 days and past 180 days periods.
Dear reviewers I ask you to disregard any odd X Axis formatting of area charts due to a possible technical glitch on the app side. I'm looking into ways to make it look better.
Methodology:
To perform this dashboard I have used the Aave scheme from Flipside.
Voting process is recorded in ethereum.aave.ez_votes.
Gas used and transaction fee to commit the transaction I've extracted from ethereum.core.fact_transactions table filtering by to_address column with Aave governance_contract
I'll run the same queries and compare the results for past 90 days, past 180 days time periods.
Each of those tabs will cover the following metrics: the number of unique proposals and voters, total number of voters, total and average paid fee in eth/usd, average gas amount used per vote.
