NEAR partners with AlibabaCloud

    Methodology:

To create this dashboard, I primarily utilized the following data tables from the Near scheme on Flipside: near.core.fact_staking_pool_daily_balances and near.core.fact_staking_actions

The near.core.fact_staking_pool_daily_balances table provided comprehensive information about validators and staking activity across all periods. This table was instrumental in obtaining a complete overview of validators and their staking balances.

On the other hand, the near.core.fact_staking_actions table was used specifically for analyzing staking events such as stake and unstake actions. This table allowed for a detailed examination of individual staking events, providing insights into the dynamics of staking activity over time.

The dashboard consists of two tables:

    • Validator activity & Staking table provides an overview of validator information, including their breakdown by pool usage, staked Near amount, delegators, and staking events. It also includes an analysis of monthly staked Near over time and staking/unstaking activities.
    • Liquid staking displays the liquid staking solutions available on NEAR and their corresponding activity.

    Introduction:

Near Protocol provides a scalable, secure, and user-friendly platform for building decentralized applications. Its low transaction fees, interoperability and security features making it a promising platform for developers looking to build the next generation of decentralized applications.

The NEAR Foundation is joining with Alibaba Cloud, the Chinese tech giant’s arm for computing and storage.

This collaboration with Alibaba Cloud is expected to bring benefits to validators on NEAR by expanding the developer ecosystem, simplifying infrastructure setup. These advancements can contribute to the growth and development of the NEAR network, making it more attractive for validators to participate and furthering Web3 innovation in Asia and the Middle East. A validator is an entity or node in a blockchain network that participates in the consensus mechanism. They play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and security of the network by verifying transactions and adding them to the blockchain.

This comprehensive dashboard provides a detailed analysis of validators on the Near blockchain, with a primary focus on active validators and metrics related to their activity. The dashboard includes information such as staking balances, delegators, and staking events. Furthermore, it offers staking information from the inception of the Near blockchain, as well as coverage of yield staking and liquid staking on Near.
