Q3. How many users are swapping via MetaMask vs other platforms? How much volume have these users done? Chart a comparison between the two, and show the following metrics over a time period of your choosing: transaction volume, average amount swapped, and a comparison of fees.
Method
- I used the ethereum.core.fact_event_logs logs table to find the number of users are swaps via MetaMask and other platforms by filtering ORIGIN_TO_ADDRESS = lower ('0x881d40237659c251811cec9c364ef91dc08d300c'). Then I joined the ethereum.core.dim_labels table to get other platforms.
- To get amount I compared MetaMask with Sushiswap and Uniswap. First, I separated the MetaMask tx_hash from the ethereum.core.fact_transactions table by filtering to_address = lower ('0x881D40237659C251811CEC9c364ef91dC08D300C'). To get amount in Sushiswap and Uniswap, I used the ethereum.core.ez_dex_swaps table based on tx_hash. To get AMOUNT in MetaMask, I used the ethereum.core.ez_token_transfers table based on tx_hash.
- To get fee I used the ethereum.core.fact_event_logs logs table to find the number of users are swaps via MetaMask and other platforms by filtering ORIGIN_TO_ADDRESS = lower ('0x881d40237659c251811cec9c364ef91dc08d300c'). I joined the ethereum.core.dim_labels table to get other platforms. Then i joined with ethereum.core.fact_transactions by tx_hash And I got the total fee on each platform.
According to the chart more than 80% of the total number of user swaps on these three platforms is Uniswap, MetaMask and Sushiswap.
The next chart shows total of users are swapping via MetaMask vs top 10 platforms. As you can see in the chart below Uniswap Swap with the 1st is the most and MetaMask and Sushi Swap are in the next categories Total of users are swapping via Uniswap is 1.07M Which has the largest number And MetaMask and Sushiswap are in the next ranks.
The next chart shows share total of users are swapping via MetaMask vs other platforms.According to the chart, MetaMask's share is 33% and other platforms is 67%.
The next chart shows total number of users are swapping via MetaMask vs other platforms.The total of users are swapping is 2.36M, that MetaMask is 780K and other platforms are 1.58M.
The next chart shows comparison of fee MetaMask vs top 10 platforms since 2022-06-01.The share of Uniswaps is 62.4%, and metaMask is 13.5% and 1inch is 13.5% and Sushiswap is 3.34%. Due to the fact that more users use Uni Swap for their swaps, Uni Swap is more than the share of all platforms.
The next chart shows total amount via MetaMask ,Sushswap and Uniswap.As is clear amount MetaMask swaps are much higher than Uniswaps and Sushiswaps.It can be concluded that whales use more MetaMask for their swaps.
Conclusion
According to observations The total number of users who swap in Uniswap is more than other platforms. Given the high number, it certainly has a higher fee than the share of other platforms. The volume of swaps performed in MetaMask is much larger than other platforms. It can be concluded that whales use metaMask for their swaps.
