Aurora Contract Users

    What is NEAR?

NEAR is an L1 blockchain aiming at providing the ideal environment for dAPPs by overcoming some of the limitations of competing systems—such as low throughput, low speeds, and poor cross-compatibility. NEAR is fast (2-3 second transaction finalization), scalable, and carbon neutral.

    What is AURORA?

Aurora is a solution that enables the execution of Ethereum contracts on the Near Blockchain, providing a faster environment. It functions as an Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), implemented as a smart contract on the NEAR Protocol. The goal is to assist developers in scaling the Ethereum ecosystem by allowing them to operate their applications on NEAR.

    Introduction

AURORA has enabled the implementation of numerous Ethereum contracts on the NEAR, which have attracted a large number of users to interact with Aurora. One of the most important dapps in this process is the Rainbow Bridge.

The NEAR Protocol has developed the Rainbow Bridge as a fully trustless bridge, which allows for token transfers between Ethereum, NEAR, and Aurora. The Rainbow Bridge is the official means of transferring tokens between these three blockchains.

This dashboard aims to explore how NEAR users interact with AURORA. Specifically, it presents the number of users who have sent transactions to Aurora contracts and how this number has evolved over time.

For the purpose of this analysis, Flipside's data has been utilized using the NEAR schema.

The focus is on the 'AURORA' address. Although there is an AURORA.Relay that involves Aurora-related transactions, it simply relays the transaction to AURORA.

To identify users who interacted with Aurora, specifically the transaction table has been used. For transactions in which the tx_receivers are 'AURORA', the TX_senders are considered as users who interacted with AURORA.

The transactions are also broken down into methods. The method type of the transaction is extracted from the transaction log.
