Introduction

• The dashboard takes a look at User/Wallet activity on AB2 Gallery
• The goal is to get an understanding of how the User growth is trending, and also of the purchase trends if any.

Methodology:

• All transaction groups that interact with AB2 Gallery can be filtered with the check for: try_base64_decode_string(tx_message:txn:note::string) = 'ab2.gallery'
• The buying/selling of NFTs here involves escrows, an intermediary smart contract wallet that holds the NFTs for sale, and once sold sends back the amount to the User and the creator fee to the creator, if any.

Activity Stats

We start off with the 7-Day moving chart of the day to day buyers. This should give us a good idea of how the activity has trended over time.

• As can be seen, the buying peaked October-November and has been declining since December!
• This likely has to do with overall Crypto/Stock/Risk markets taking a hit, and sentiment being low.

How many unique Buyers are there? The unique Users are always an important factor for any platform's longevity and success!

• AB2 has had ~10K Unique users purchase a NFT on the platform

Now, let's look at how this Unique User growth has been trending below:

• The Growth/Onboarding seems to mimic the peak from the Daily Activity chart.
• In the recent months, the growth seems to have entirely stagnated!

Are new wallets buying NFTs or it's only the prior Users that are active?

• While the overall buying activity may have decreased, we observe in the above chart that New User purchases continue to contribute 15-20% to a day's purchases at average.

How many purchases does a Wallet/User tend to make on the platform?

• We can see the majority of wallets(~50%!) purchasing just 1 NFT over the course of time. Ideally, you'd want a User to be retained/ be a active purchaser!

• Wallets that purchased at least 2 and up to 5 NFTs follow with a 28.2% share of the total unique Users.

Conclusion:

• We have analyzed the day to day buying activity occurring on AB2 Gallery since inception.
• For now, it seems the new/unique user growth has stagnated.
• Furthermore, it seems the majority of Users are not retained/recurring, since ~50% of wallets just buy 1 NFT!
