    The District’s Architecture

    • I personally quite like their UI/UX feature where you can click/tap an NFT which then flips the NFT to the back side. The back side has various traits/stats and other related info regarding the NFT.

    • This is quite similar to the usual collector/trading card games most of us would be accustomed to! Honestly, more marketplaces need to have this feature!

    • One can of course go to that NFT’s specific page by clicking details and inspecting all the details as if the usual practice too.

How much activity does the Art District attract!

    • We look at the usual suspects to deduce just how many tourists and regular appreciatooooors of Art does the district attract

    • We see some aggressive spikes on certain days. Given the transaction counts breach/get close to 10k/day on such days, it’s very likely due to a grand attraction!

( A hyped, huge-community-backed artist’s/team’s collection mint/drop on those days These will usually have quite a few items in the collection and attract the masses!)

    Mints vs Secondary Sales

    • We notice that despite there being wayyyyyy more mints taking place on Paras, the volume of NEAR contributed by mints is far too less when compared to that of the Secondary Sales.

    • One likely reason for this could be artists and teams experimenting and building a fan base by offering zero/low-cost mints.

Note: Most of the metrics use/rely on just the nft_mint & resolve_purchase log events!

The Picasso’s and the Van Gogh’s of NEAR

    • We take a look at the 5 collections by volume.

      \

    • asac.near/Anti-Social Ape Club takes the lead with the highest volume traded

    Dashboard Objectives

    • The dashboard takes the reader through NEAR’s ART DISTRICT.
    • It attempts to bring out the usual metrics & highlights of the Art/NFT Ecosystem on the chain
    • It also dives into the Top collections

This dashboard is best viewed in a fullscreen/maximized browser tab!

Paras.id - The Centre of NEAR’s Art District

    • The marketplace aims to set itself apart from all the other NFT/Art/collectible marketplaces.

    • How So? By focusing on bespoke curation and community building!

    • Unlike the majority of marketplaces which allow any and all users to upload/list items which end up leading to a lot of low-quality gibberish… Paras approaches the NFT experience with curation.

    • Given the low gas fees, it’s far easier for artists to get involved, experiment, and build lasting communities.

    • It has garnered the majority of NFT/Art traffic on NEAR and as such the right to be the centre of the arts district!

    • Paras Logo (right) and UI image(below) are all taken from the official site.

    Art, Memes, Communities, and Culture

    >  “The purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls.” -Pablo Picasso

    • We have time and again seen memes and communities grow and spread around iconic collections across various chains.

      • CryptoPunks, Bored Ape Yacht Club, etc on Ethereum

      • Solana Monkey Business, DeGods, etc on Solana

        \

    • Given NEAR’s Art/NFT district is kinda under the radar, it remains to be seen which collections become the definitive collections. But we do have our current leaders at the moment!

    • Sample NFT from each collection is highlighted below (in order of the list!)

Separating the tourists from the Art Connoisseurs

    • We look at User trends and immediately notice that new MINTS seem to attract the most users

    • Also, the new user acquisition seems to have hit a local plateau.

    User Retention/Purchase Behavior

    • We look at the daily User activity in terms of whether that is the user’s first transaction that day(new), or the user is recurring (old)

    • Ignoring the initial burst growth days, lately, it’s been the recurring users dominating the activity.

    • The new users’ activity contribution to the day has dipped to sub-15 % levels.

    • Interestingly the majority prefers directly buying the listed item. And there are no auction purchases?
