[wormhole] Shuttle vs. Wormhole

    Compare Shuttle vs Wormhole across the following three metrics, over a time period of your choosing: unique users; frequency of use for each; and overlap (users who rely on both protocols). You may define ""overlap"" at your discretion - like a space shuttle exploring the cosmos, the goal is to discover interesting insights about the types of users who use each protocol individually and those who use both.

    1. Comparison of Daily Activity

    2. New Users Amassed

    3. Frequency of Usage

    Below we compare the growth of uniques users for each of the cross-chain protocols over the same period of time.

    We look at the day to day activity of each protocol in terms of total transactions taking place and the distinct users ( wallets ) executing them.

    • Below we define 'Frequency' as the time between multiple transactions on the same protocol, expressed in terms of average hours between the transactions, by the same user.

    • We also breakdown the various kinds of users into 4 categories based on the following criteria:

    WHEN txn_totals>=2 AND txn_totals<=10	THEN 'less_frequent_user'
    WHEN txn_totals>10 AND txn_totals<=50	THEN 'frequent_user'
    WHEN txn_totals>50	                THEN 'spammy_user'
    WHEN txn_totals=1                       THEN 'one_time_user'

    • Shuttle Bridge clearly seems to have the incumbent advantage.
    • Having started/launched far earlier, it clearly has more users and activity as of this momment.
    • Shuttle again with the incumbent advantage.
    • Do note, both the curves are increasing upward.
    • It will be interesting to see how Wormhole holds up over the next few weeks.
