DEX Popularity: Tinyman, Algofi, Pactfi

Q70. Since the beginning of April, how has the growth of AlgoFi and PactFi impacted swaps on Tinyman? Show us how the Algorand DEX ecosystem is changing as each DEX grows. In this question, we examine the DEXs on the Algorand ecosystem. This study is performed in terms of various factors. Such as analysis of the number of wallets and addresses that swapping on each of the DEXs and analysis of the activity of wallets on each DEX.

Question 1: since the beginning of April, how has the growth of AlgoFi and Pact impacted swaps on Tinyman? Show us how the Algorand DEX ecosystem is changing as each DEX grows

We need algorand.swaps table to answer this question. First, we filter the records that swapping on the Algorand DEX ecosystem since April. Then we consider the number of records as the number of swaps and group records by DEX name and days and finally order results by day. The results are shown in the table and chart below.

Looking at the charts above, we find that the number of swaps performed in pactfi and algofi is much lesser than the number of swaps performed in tinyman. Also, the number of swaps performed on wagmiswap DEX is so small compared to other DEXs that it can be ignored. The number of swaps on the Algorand DEX ecosystem from May 9 to May 12 increased dramatically and this increase is much more pronounced in algofi and pactfi. To see more closely the effect of the swaps performed in pactfi and algofi on tinyman, we have used the following method. We calculate the number of daily swaps performed in tinyman and then divide the result by the sum of daily swaps performed in algofi and pactfi, which shows the rate of tinyman swaps relative to the other two DEXs over time. The result is shown in the table and chart below.

Looking at the chart above, we find that the ratio of the number of swaps performed in tinyman to the sum of swaps in pactfi and algofi, generally decreases over time.

Question 2: Do we see a change in the number of wallets swapping on the Algorand DEX ecosystem?

To answer this question, we act like the previous question, except that to calculate the number of wallets swapping on the Algorand DEX ecosystem, we use COUNT(DISTINCT(SWAPPER)) to find unique wallet addresses. The results are shown in the table and chart below.

Looking at the charts above, it is clear that the number of wallets that swap on the tinyman is still much larger than other DEXs. also, algofi is also in second place by a large margin compared to pactfi. The total number of wallets swapping in the Algorand DEX ecosystem is also below 3,000 on most days after early April, indicating a downward trend.

Question 3: Do we see a change in the volume of ALGOs being swapped onthe Algorand DEX ecosystem?

We need algorand.swaps table to answer this question. first, we filter the records swapping on the Algorand DEX ecosystem since April and swapped algo for other assets. Then we calculate the sum of Algos per DEXs and per day by grouping records by DEX name and days and finally order results by day. wallet addresses. The results are shown in the table and chart below.

As with the previous questions, the volume of ALGOs being swapped on tinyman is much higher than in other DEXs, and the volume of ALGOs that were swapped on the Algorand DEX ecosystem from May 9 to May 12 has increased dramatically and this increase is much more pronounced in algofi.

Question 4: Are ALGO whales swapping on certain DEXs more than others?

to answer this question we need to define Algo whales. we define Algo whales as wallets that have more than 1 million Algo. we extract addresses of whales from algorand.account table. then we check algorand.swaps table to find whales swapping any assets on the Algorand DEX ecosystem. The results are shown in the table and chart below.

The results show that the preferred DEX for algo whales is pactfi. However, given the days that whales swap in DEXs, this result may not be very valid.

Question 5: Have we seen has the recent price change in ALGO impact the number of swaps/wallets/volume on the DEXs? If so, how?

The number of swaps/wallets/volume on the Algorand DEX ecosystem has also almost decreased due to the declining market trend in recent months. But this reduction is less than the Algorand price reduction. Between May 9 and May 13 number of swaps/wallets/volume on the Algorand DEX ecosystem increases dramatically. This increase may be due to the announcement of FIFA's partnership with Blockchain Algorand.
