Introduction and methods

Near Protocol is a layer 1 blockchain that supports smart contracts. It is a decentralized network that has been built from scratch, with the aim of creating an ecosystem of its own, based on the implementation of tools that allow developers to build and scale applications on top of its network, and thus offer end users an intuitive experience and low-cost transactions.

Methodology

In this dashboard we are gonna visualize the number of new smart contracts deployed over the past month. We will find the top 5 new contracts interacted in that period.

The main table used is the related to the Near transactions using the Deployed function.

Results

In the first graph, we can see how it seems that there is one weekly day when more contracts are deployed. It seems that the pattern is similar over weeks and every 7 days the number of new contracts increase from around 20 to around 30ies.

The cumulative new contracts are growing steadily. Since the past 30 days, more than 660 new contracts were deployed on Near.

Finally, in the last graph, we have analyzed the 5 new Near contracts that have had the most interaction during the last month. We can see a clear difference between Sweat new contracts and the rest. During the last 30 days it has had more than 1M interactions. The next new contracts have had a little bit more than 200k and the others below 50k interactions.

Key insights

• The new contracts from September to date remain fairly stable with a weekly day when the number increase.
• The cumulative new contracts are growing steadily.
• Over the past 30 days, there were more than 660 new contracts deployed.
• There is a big difference between the new contract of Sweat and the rest.
• It has had more than 1.2M of interactions.
• The other four new contracts have less than 300k interactions each.

Finally, we will take a look at the total fees generated by these top 5 deployed contracts.

In this case, we can clearly seen how the Sweat contract has been the contract who have generated the most in fees.

As well, the number of transactions are so high in comparison. In fact, it seems that the proportion of fees and trasnactions are similar in both cases.
