    Introduction

Aave is a decentralized lending and borrowing platform on Ethereum, enabling users to earn interest on crypto deposits and borrow crypto against collateral. Aave offers innovative features like flash loans and the ability to switch between variable and fixed interest rates. AAVE is the platform's governance token, giving holders a say in decision-making. For a full breakdown of how Aave is governed, you can check the author's other dashboard on Aave Governance.

Gas fees are always a hot topic on Ethereum as it is considered an expensive blockchain. Since the governance of Aave is also implemented on Ethereum, it should be interesting to see how much fee voters have paid since the platform launched in late 2020. This dashboard tackled the gas usage by the governance contributors in three different periods, which are available in other tabs.

    Conclusion

The gas fees paid by the voters participating in the Aave's governance have been evaluated in detail in other tabs. In conclusion, while on average the gas fees for each proposal have been lower over the last 3 months compared to the last 6 months, the average gas fees per vote have been higher in the last 90 days. The average fee in both of these periods has been lower compared to the overall average. On the other hand, while the average gas usage per vote has been almost equal over all periods, the average gas usage per proposal has considerably been lower over the last three months compared to the last 180 days.
