Flow User Behavior
In this analysis, the swapping behavior of the Flow users has been investigated, in addition to their common activities on the network.
Flow is a decentralized and developer-friendly blockchain, designed in a way to provide a foundation for a new generation of games, apps, and digital assets. It is the only layer-one blockchain created by the team behind projects such as CryptoKitties, Dapper Wallet, and NBA Top Shot. In this analysis, the common activities conducted by the users of the Flow blockchain as well as their swapping behavior have been evaluated.
The required data were collected from the fact_transactions, the fact_nft_sales, and the fact_swaps tables of the core schema of the flow database.
The daily volume of swaps to and from the fungible tokens of the Flow network has been shown in the following charts. There were days when other tokens such as Blocto had a huge swaps volume, however, the stablecoins have had the largest share among the swaps throughout the measured period.
The analysis of user activity on the Flow network has indicated that the majority of users are engaged in a transaction compared to a swap or an NFT sale which has accounted for only a small percentage of the overall activities.
The number of swaps conducted during the period for each token also demonstrates that besides the FLOW token itself, the stablecoins of tUSDT and FUSD have had the largest number of transactions.
In conclusion, it has been demonstrated that besides the FLOW token as the native token of the Flow network, stablecoins of tUSDT and FUSD are the dominant tokens that users swap to and from. Other tokens have had a negligible share of total swaps which indicates a low adoption rate over their platforms or the utility they provide. Apart from this, the analysis of user activity has shown that the majority of users conduct a transaction on a daily basis compared to a swap or purchasing/selling an NFT.
