Optimism (September 4)

Optimism is a low-cost and lightning-fast Ethereum L2 blockchain.
An overview of the apps and integrations in the Optimism ecosystem.
Lyra, Synthetix, Thales, Quix, Perpetual Protocol, PoolTogether, Uniswap, Velodrome, Hop Exchange, 1inch, Kwenta, Backed, NiftyKit, SushiSwap, OptiPunks, Rainbow, Coinbase Wallet, …
The incentives fueling OP Summer have only just begun to be distributed and utilized by projects in the ecosystem. Expect OP Summer to heat up even more as projects continue to utilize their allocations!
Meanwhile, in the world of governance, we’re entering Season 2, with many awesome improvements in the works. To stay up to date on and participate in Optimism governance follow @OptimismGov, check out the Governance forum, and don't forget to delegate your OP if you haven't already.
As you can see, there is massive potential for builders to stake their claim in the new, open internet. Just have a look at the projects which have already done so. Are you a project aligned with The Optimistic Vision? You can still apply for funding through governance.
If you're a user brand new to Optimism, it's never too late to Get Started. If you're not sure where to begin, poke your head in our Discord and say hello!
Until then--stay safe, remain curious--and, as always, stay Optimistic! 🔴✨
Transactions & Fees
The number of transactions in the last week was between 200,000 and 300,000, and no noticeable change is observed. Of course, more than 300,000 transactions were registered on September 6, which was the highest amount.
The number of active wallets in the same period of the previous week has been between 40 and 55 thousand.
In proportion to the increase in the use of the Optimism network, we see an increase in the transaction fee. Therefore, on the days when the most transactions took place, we see the highest transaction fee because the network traffic had increased.
The total number of each index is also displayed cumulatively.
If we consider September 6 and divide the number of $13,600 by 306,000 transactions, the amount of $0.04 per transaction is obtained, which is very low per transaction and is considered suitable.
This factor can be the main reason why most investors migrate to layer 2.
During the same day, the number of $13,600 can be calculated for each wallet.
If we divide 13,600 by 46,300 wallets, about $0.29 per wallet per transaction is calculated.
In fact, on September 6, each wallet paid about $0.29 per transaction for token transfer, which is considered a small amount.
Events & Transactions
Five different events that have been used the most include Transfer, Swap, Approval, Deposit, and Mint.
The transfer statistics are interesting as they have the most.
Of course, the number of mints related to NFTs is also significant.
The focus on NFTs in Optimism Network is worth considering.
Top 10 Tokens Transfers
The 10 tokens that have had the most transfers include stablecoins and, of course, the important and famous currencies of Ethereum and Bitcoin.
The focus has been on them more than different currencies.
The bear market has led to a focus on currencies with greater transaction reliability.
Transactions Performance
We have calculated the speed and efficiency of the Optimism network by calculating the number of transactions per hour, minute and second separately.
On September 6, we see 6600 transactions per hour.
Interesting and significant statistics for the optimism network.
The lowest statistics for September 4th was about 1.095 transactions per second.
NFTs
In the NFTs bought and sold, the statistics of the ==Optipunk== NFT collection are the first.
37% of the market of NFTs on the Optimism network is related to that collection, and after that, the ==Apetimism== collection with 12.6% and ==dope wars hustlers== with 10.6% have the highest sales.
In the fascinating review of this section, we reach the amount of purchases and sales.
As we can see in the charts, most of the time we see more buying than selling.
Although the market conditions are not interesting and we are in a bear market period, the number of purchase tracts is more and the tendency to buy and hold NFTs is quite evident.
Conclusion
Considering that we are getting closer to the Merge event, the reception of Optimism network is also increasing day by day.
The number of platforms that support this network is increasing in different areas.
By comparing different networks, it can be seen that ==Optimism== network has the highest number of transactions after ==Arbitrum== network.
Therefore, there is still no competitor for these two layer 2 networks.
