Introduction

there is a lot of DEXs which supports Optimism network.

main subject that this dashboard cover is comparing Velodrome to Uniswap in some metrics like number of users and popular tokens to swap from and swap to.

user can do swaps on these two DEX and also deposit into pools and supply liquidity but we just consider swaps for this DEXs.

Uniswap is very well known more than Velodrome. so is it expected that Uniswap had more users than Velodrome.

Above chart compares number of unique users per day since 30 days ago.

in most days Uniswap has more unique swappers than Velodrome.

also there is almost a increasing trend for both DEXs and unique swappers per day are increasing.

on Jul 29th Uniswap had 3.4K unique swappers on Optimism which is highest number of unique swappers per day.

on Jul 28th Velodrome had 1.3K unique swappers which is highest number of unique swappers on Optimism in Velodrome per day.

in some days number of unique swappers for Velodrome is more than Uniswap but in a overall view Uniswap has more unique swappers.

two above charts compares Uniswap and Velodrome in case of average number of unique swappers on a day and also total unique swappers.

average number of unique swappers in a day for Uniswap is 707 but for Velodrome is 541 which tells that Uniswap has more unique swappers per day.

since 30 days ago total number of unique swappers in Optimism on Uniswap is about 13.4K which for Velodrome is 6.2K.

so total unique swappers for Uniswap is more than Velodrome.

above chart is number of swaps on Optimism for both Uniswap and Velodrome per day since last 30 days ago.

as we see number of swaps for Velodrome is more than Uniswap in almost most days.

on Jul 29th about 29.8K swaps were done on Velodrome which is the highest number of swaps per day for Velodrome. and also on this day about 7.2K swaps were done on Uniswap and it was the highest number of swaps for Uniswap too.

per day number of swaps are increasing for both Uniswap and Velodrome.

if we consider number of unique swappers to this chart, we notice that a smaller number of unique swappers are doing a lot of swaps on Velodrome.

so Velodrome had less unique swappers than Uniswap that did more swaps than Uniswap swappers.

Above charts shows average number of swaps in a day for both Uniswap and Velodrome and also total swaps done since last 30 days ago.

average number of swaps in a day for Uniswap swappers is about 1.7K while for Velodrome swappers is about 7K. and as number of swaps per day showed, swaps for Velodrome is more than Uniswap.

and total number of swaps for Uniswap is 54.8K while for Velodrome is about 216.4K.

so as said before Velodrome swappers had done more swaps than Uniswap.

we have found top 10 asset for swapping from and swaps to for both Uniswap and Velodrome.

top asset that is popular for sell(swapping from) is USDC which is used about 15.5K since last 30 days ago.

OP token which is main token for Optimism is top 3 for sell on Uniswap since last 30 days ago.

WETH is top asset that Uniswap swappers used to buy(swap to) since last 30 days ago.

also again OP token is top 3 by used count to buy.

On Velodrome top asset that swappers sell(swapping for) is USDC jut like Uniswap swappers and it has been used about 96.6K since last 30 days ago.

OP on Velodrome is top 2 asset that swappers sold.

top asset that users bought(swap to) since last 30 days ago is USDC again and also top 2 is OP again.

for Velodrome top assets that was sold or bought are almost the same for last 30 days ago.

Also we have found top 10 swap pairs that swappers did since last 30 days ago.

for Velodrome top swap pair is swapping from OP to USDC which is used about 71.9K.

these pairs are found by number of used count.

• USDC is the top asset on Velodrome that users sold and bought.
• OP to USDC is top swap pair on Velodrome.
• USDC to WETH is the top swap pair on Uniswap.

Methodology

we have used ==optimism.core.fact_event_logs== table to find transaction hashes for Swap events for Velodrome and Uniswap contracts and then use table again to find swap pairs for each transaction.

when a swap is done a transfer is made. thus at second place we have found these transfers to separate swap pairs.

also we just find transactions which their status is succeed and all data are successful swaps.

since bounty asks for data from last month, so we have filtered our queries to show data since 30 days ago.
