• According to Optimism Docs there was 248.699K eligible addresses which only 149.1K addresses claimed their airdrop that is ~60% of eligible addresses.

• Area chart shown above indicates that most majority of users claimed their $OP airdrop on first week of June which most number of users claimed their airdrop at June first which was 73K claimers.

The Optimism Foundation’s Airdrop #1 rewards those who have been instrumental as early adopters and active users of projects in the Optimism ecosystem. To celebrate our Ethereum roots, The Optimism Foundation also want to welcome active L1 participants who can help scale Ethereum’s innovations, culture, and values to Layer 2. In total, 248,699 addresses are eligible to claim OP in this initial airdrop.

Our airdrop has six sets of criteria. Two for Optimism users that target early adopters and active project users, and four for L1 Ethereum, which target active contribution, positive-sum behaviors, and active participation. Each set is distinct, meaning that an address can be eligible for multiple and allocated a sum of tokens accordingly. A snapshot of addresses was taken on 03-25-2022 0:00 UTC.

• DelegateChanged and Approval are two next actions in usages of them with 108,730 usages of DelegateChanged and 78,739 usages of Approval

• $OP price chart shown above shows that since the first of July, we have seen a short time decrease in the price, which is due to the increase in supply by airdrop.

Conclusions

1. Only 60% of eligible addresses for airdrop(149.1K) has claimed their airdrop
2. Only 73% of airdrop tokens(157.7M $OP) has been claimed by users
3. Most claimed $OP volume and claimers has been done in first days of June
4. Transfer, DelegateVotesChanged(109,000 ), DelegateChanged() and Approval are actions that’s done by $OP owner wallets.
5. $OP price decreased due to supply increase by $OP airdrop
