    Introduction

    Aave Protocol:

Aave is a decentralized finance (DeFi) platform built on the Ethereum blockchain that allows users to borrow and lend a variety of cryptocurrencies without intermediaries. With Aave, users can earn interest on their deposited funds or borrow funds at variable or fixed interest rates, depending on their preferences.

    Borrowing:

Borrowing is a temporary possession of money with the intent to repay the amount borrowed. In a financial sense, if you borrow money, you assume a debt to the lender, this debt contains the principal amount plus interest.

The above charts show the following parameters:

    • Comparison of borrow and flash loan transactions by volume
    • Comparison of deposit and borrow transactions in the case of transactions, users, and volume
    • Effect of borrow transactions on the price of each token
    • Distribution of borrowers by borrowed volume
    • The most popular tokens that borrowers used to collateralize

    • The largest number of distinct borrowers on SNX happened in the last week of June 2022, with 40 unique addresses. For $UNI happened in late January 2021, with 31 unique users. After this date, the number of unique borrowers declined over time until the launch of V3. Lastly, for $MKR, it occurred in the second week of November 2021, with 13 addresses communicating with Aave V2. After this date, the number of unique borrowers declined below 10 individuals over time.
