Introduction

Marinade Finance is the first non-custodial liquid staking protocol built on Solana. By staking SOL with Marinade, users receive mSOL tokens in return that can be used to explore other DeFi protocols and earn additional yield. mSOL can also be swapped for other tokens on decentralized exchanges like Jupiter and Orca.

The popularity was compared by the number of swaps.

The most popular coins in both categories are similar, USDC, USDT, wrapped SOL and …, the only difference between them is MNDE has the 9th place in in swap to category but instead we have xUSD in swap from category.

Methodology

In this dashboard we investigates:

• The amount of users per day
• the amount of SOL staked on Marinade since the beginning of 2022
• total staked amount
• the 10 largest transactions
• mSol swap amounts per day
• the most popular tokens that mSOL is swapped for and from on other Dexes like Jupiter and orca

The first important factor of health of the protocol is the number of daily users of the protocol:

From the below chart it is clear that the maximum amount of distinct users was on March 30, 1526 users, and the minimum number was on the June 28, 25 users.

And for the rest of the year average amount of users is 100.

As introduction part of the bounty we understood that the main function of marinade is staking Sol and users receive mSOL tokens in return that can be used to explore other DeFi protocols.

So the next health factor that we are going to explore is the staked Sol per day and the total amount of staked Sol in Marinade.

From the above chart we can see that the maximum number of staking was on June 20 with 236,000 staked Sols and the total amount of staked Sols since January of 2022 is 2.15 M.

The third factor we are going to explore is to find the top 10 largest transactions of staking Sol:

Let’s explore the amount of mSol swaps per day on other platforms like Orca and Jupiter:

From the chart above we can see that the maximum amount of swapped mSol was on Jan 24 with about 581,000.

Another important factor that can be explored is the top tokens that one can swap his mSol to or from.

Last but not the least factor could be the staked Sol range to find with range has the most popularity between stakers.

1 and below 1 range has the greatest amount with about 42 percent of total staked Sols.
