    📑INTRODUCTION

Osmosis is currently the most dominant, accounting for roughly 40% of the total inter-blockchain transfers on Cosmos. IBC compatible blockchains (such as Cosmos, Regen, Akash, and more) can be seamlessly swapped on Osmosis, with fees generally under $1.00.

To best understand the Osmosis value proposition, it’ll help to first explore the Cosmos ecosystem and some DeFi & DEX basics.

    1. Cosmos: Cosmos is an “Internet of Blockchains” network in which developers can build interoperable dApps. In the ideal Cosmos world, Ethereum apps will play nicely with Binance Smart Chain apps, and so on. But for now, projects that adhere to the IBC (below) will be able to seamlessly communicate with each other and send tokens for minimal transaction fees.
    2. The Inter-Blockchain Communication Protocol (IBC) is a protocol that relays messages between various independent distributed ledgers. It was initially created to connect Tendermint‐based blockchains.
    3. Tendermint Core is a Byzantine-Fault Tolerant engine for building blockchains. It allows developers to write their applications in any language, and then replicate the app globally. There is no need to wait for transaction confirmations; a transaction is immediately finalized once included in a block.
    4. Automated Market Maker (AMM): This popular DEX protocol relies on algorithms to price cryptocurrency assets in liquidity pools, filling the role of a centralized market maker in an order-book method platform.

Sovereignty and heterogeneity are two key pieces of the Cosmos (and Osmosis) mission, and you’ll see them echoed in almost every feature.

    Brief description of the bridge

Axelar is a permisionless network and gateway that enables you to build secure cross-chain applications. Satellite is a web app built on top of the Axelar network. Use it to transfer assets from one chain to another.

    METHODOLOGY

In this dashboard We will discuss about :

    • FTX fallout how effect OSMOSIS and satellite bridge
    • satellite bridge activity over last 7 day
    • net flow onto ETH net from FTX

Did bridge activity spike over the last 7 days? If so, to what ecosystems?

    WHAT IS OSMOSIS?

Osmosis is the eighth blockchain in the Cosmos network (ATOM) to enable the Inter-Blockchain Communication Protocol (IBC), and the sixth blockchain that connects to the Cosmos Hub, according to Cosmos, which is designed to enable interoperability between blockchains.

The Osmosis AMM is unique in that it affords users the ability to create their own liquidity pools, or to duplicate existing ones with their own unique parameters. Because Osmosis is built on the Cosmos ecosystem, users are able to natively trade assets from more than 47 different chains within Cosmos.

    ✅OBSERVASION

1- In the satellite bridge daily number chart, the highest number of TX in 11 days happened on Oct 28 with 6856 transactions.

2- In the graph of satellite bridge daily number after Nov 7, the graph has increased in two days and reached more than 5000 daily number on Nov 9. But after that, it was a downward trend.

Let's see how this played out during the fallout.

    ✅OBSERVASION

    • According to the chart of different chains avg user count, the number of users on the Ethereum platform has the highest average number of users with 120, and the third place is the OSMOSIS platform with 55 new users.
    • By comparing the chart in the two intervals after and before FTX collapse, it can be clearly seen that the daily bridge by TX_COUNT was very low, that the highest number of bridges was before the collapse with 6856, and after the collapse, only users transferred their funds to 5097 bridges on Nov 9. has arrived.
    • But in terms of the number of bridge users, the number of users after the collapse has increased dramatically, from 565 users on Oct 28 to 584 users on Nov 9.
    • Also, by comparing the average number of bridges done after and before the FTX collapse, it can be seen that after the collapse, the number of bridges has increased significantly.

    ✅OBSERVASION

    • Also, by comparing the average number of bridges done after and before the FTX collapse, it can be seen that after the collapse, the number of bridges has increased significantly.
    • In the graph of mostly bridged tokens from axelar, AXL token has the highest number of bridges among other tokens based on TX_COUNT and USDC token is in second place.

track net outflows from FTX onto Ethereum. Did any of these outflows flow across Satellite to another destination chain?

    ✅OBSERVASION

    • According to the chart, the most destinations of users leaving FTX are Binance with 53% and 13.2% are Alameda Research.
    • According to the AVG number of outflow chart, on Nov 12, the outflow value reached 463 thousand at once.

    📑CONCLUSION

As the most popular DEX in the Cosmos ecosystem, Osmosis has positioned itself to be one of the first Cosmos dApps many newcomers interact with. However, it seems the Osmosis mission goes far beyond simply just being a foundational pillar in Cosmos.

With the potential to connect other token blockchains (such as ERC-20s) into a network where fast and cheap value transfer is possible, the path ahead for Osmosis looks bright.
