What Is Aave?

Aave is a decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol that enables the borrowing and lending of cryptocurrency, including so-called flash loans. Flash loans are considered the first uncollateralized loan option in the DeFi space.

Aave is built on the Ethereum protocol and it’s considered one of the biggest DeFi platforms, and one of the top that focus on lending and borrowing cryptocurrency through a pooled liquidity system. Lenders can earn relatively low-risk, passive income from interest paid on loans, without having to engage with third-parties or middlemen.

In this dashboard, we will take a look at:

1. Aave stake Vs unstake volume overtime since Jan 2022. Which means that we only look at data after 2022-01-01
2. Aave stake and unstake transaction volume since Jan 2022.
3. The overall stake vs unstake amount/transaction over time from Oct 2022 to July 2022.
4. Aave total deposited amount Vs withdrawals amount, total Depositor Vs withdrawals and cumulative volume overtime.

Aave stake Vs unstake transaction volume.

1. The chart from the left shows the same transaction volume in pie chart which is 56.9% from staking transactions Vs 43.1% from unstake transactions.
2. The chart from the right shows the cumulative volume for stake and unstake combined and it’s going up to 15m throughout the year.

Aave stake Vs unstake amount and transaction over time from Oct 2020 to July 2022.

1. The chart from the left shows the overall amount stake Vs unstake in Aave and we can see that there are huge amount of Aave being staked on early of Oct 2022 and it doesn’t seem like a lot of them was unstake yet so there are still a lot of amount being stake in Aave protocol.
2. The chart from the right shows the overall transactions and there are more stake transactions compare with the unstake one.

Aave total deposited amount Vs withdrawn , Total users in Aave, and Aave total deposit Vs withdrawn USD.

1. The chart at the left shows the total deposit and withdrawal from Aave protocol from Oct 2020 to July 2022. The percentage is deposit at 45.1% Vs the withdrawal at 54.9% from the overall percentage.
2. The chart at the middle shows the total depositor and the depositors are more than the withdrawal wallets. The number of wallets seem to be going downtrend since 2022.
3. The chart at the right shows the total USD involve in deposit and withdrawa. and we can see that there isn’t much movement since 2022.

Aave stake Vs unstake volume over time since Jan 2022.

1. The chart from the left shows us the Aave stake Vs unstake volume and we can see that there are 2 millions (59.8%) worth of Aave was unstaked and 1.4 million (40.2%) was staked in Aave protocol.
2. The chart at the middle shows us the Aave stake Vs unstake over time and there are more Aave unstake Vs the stake volume and the highest was around 11th May and 11th June 2022 which the unstake amount has reached 300k above.
3. The chart from the right shows the transaction volume since Jan 2022 and there are more stake transaction compare with the unstake transaction throughout the year. This also could means that some of the unstake wallets is from the whale.
