Cosmos & Delegation
==Introduction==
The operation of Cosmos relies on a structure that is known as the Hub. The Cosmos Hub is actually a ledger that maintains the main history of the entire Cosmos network. In simpler words, it is a blockchain that stores the information of everything that happens in Cosmos and the actions that take place between the different actors that are interconnected to its network.
For example, if two blockchains interconnected to Cosmos share certain events, these events will be recorded in the central Cosmos Hub attesting to what happened. At the same time, the results of those actions will be recorded on the respective blockchains that have interacted. In this way, the evidence of the interaction is recorded in such a way that there is no way to deny it. This is very useful, since this type of structure makes it very easy for, for example, DApps (Decentralised Applications) from different blockchains to communicate with each other.
In any case, the Hub is a history of events between Cosmos network participants. This history is made possible by the existence of the Cosmos Inter Blockchain Communication (IBC) protocol. The job of this protocol is to provide a standard connector that allows blockchains within Cosmos to send messages to each other and share information, while maintaining a complete record of these messages within the Hub. In this way it is possible to enable completely decentralised exchanges between all blockchains. The scope of this idea is so broad that Cosmos is known in the crypto world as "the Internet of Blockchain".
In this section we have analysed overall proposals on Cosmos. First of all, the following metrics have been analysed: the validators and redelegations, validators by amount of redelegations and where are stakers redelegating?
In the graph of validators and redelegations "Others" is the highest band, with more than 100k redelegations. In the case of validators by amount of redelegations we see that the highest band is also "Others" with 45M amount redelegated. In both cases, the second highest band is the SG-1 validator.
As we can see from the percentage, 61,5% of the stakers are redelegating in "Others" validators.
Overall Proposals on Cosmos
Chosen Proposal analysis (#82 by default)
En este apartado se puede anlizar cualquier proposal escogido por el usuario. Se han estudiado las siguientes metricas:
- Daily amount of redelegations on selectec proposal
- Daily wallets redelegating on selectec proposal
- Daily amount redelegated on selected proposal
In the first graph we have analysed the redelegations on each proposal. We can see that the higher the proposal is, the less redelegations there are. Up to proposal 70, the redelegations are quite stable, reaching more than 1k. From then on, the numbers started to drop considerably.
In the second graph we can see the volume redelegated on each proposal. We can clearly see that at the beginning there is a stable trend and at proposal 69 there is a radical peak, reaching more than 25M. After that moment, the volume redelegated on each proposal started to decrease radically.
==Key insight==
- In the validators and redelegations "Others" is the highest band, with more than 100k redelegations.
- In the validators by amount of redelegations, the highest band is also "Others" with 45M amount redelegated.
- The percentage, 61,5% of the stakers are redelegating in "Others" validators.
- In the daily wallet redelegating on each proposal, at the beginning of April there was a radical increase in wallet redelegating, reaching 6k.
- Then, they dropped but in Spetember it went up again.
- In the daily amount of redelegations by proposal, during the month of December the amount of redelegations has dropped considerably.
- In the daily amount redelegated by proposal there is a constant positive trend.
- There are a few important peaks that have reached more than 7M.
- The higher the proposal is, the less redelegations there are.
- The volume redelegated on each proposal, at the beginning there is a stable trend and at proposal 69 there is a radical peak, reaching more than 25M.
- After proposal 70, the volume redelegated on each proposal started to decrease radically.

In these three graphs we have analysed, firstly, the daily wallet redelegating on each proposal. We can see that at the beginning of April there was a radical increase in wallet redelegating, reaching 6k. Then, at the end of May, the wallet redelegating dropped considerably, but in September it went up again. They have remained fairly stable until today.
If we look at the daily amount of redelegations by proposal, we see that it has a similar trend to the one explained above. During the month of December the amount of redelegations has dropped considerably.
Finally, if we look at the daily amount redelegated by proposal, we see that there is a constant positive trend. In addition, there are a few important peaks that have reached more than 7M.
==Methods==
The reader can select the proposal they want. Then, the parameters of the chosen proposal will be applied.
In this analysis we will focus on Cosmos and Delegation More specifically, we will analyze the following data:
- Validators and redelegations
- Validators by amount of redelegations
- Where are stakers redelegating?
- Daily wallet redelegating on each proposal
- Daily amount of redelegations by proposal
- Daily amount redelegated by proposal
- Redelegations on each proposal
- Volume redelegated on each proposal
- Daily amount of redelegations on selectec proposal
- Daily wallets redelegating on selectec proposal
- Daily amount redelegated on selected proposal
