It uses TVL as a measure of the total assets secured in each protocol, providing an indication of the protocol’s popularity and trustworthiness within the ecosystem, and the number of transactions offer insights into the protocol’s activity level, reflecting user engagement and protocol usage.

By tracking TVL, we identify which protocols are attracting the most capital and monitor how this changes over time. This could indicate trends in user preference or shifts in market confidence.
